I got a sidewall puncture on the trail and didn't have this kit. I switched to my spare (which was a pain) and came home and ordered this kit, so that's why you see me installing it in my garage. Firstly, it's packaged very nice. There's plenty of adhesive and sandpaper and enough for 4 patch jobs. It's small and the packaging keeps everything nice and protected from the elements even if it's kicking around in the back of your dirty jeep or truck. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. There was an extra reminder card reminding you that you should not use a ton of glue, there's a dot matrix you should apply to ensure a good bond. The sandpaper made cleaning the area on the tire easy, even deeply embedded dirt was cleared away relatively quickly with the low grit sandpaper leaving a fresh black rubber surface to bond to. The patches were easy to cut with a razor blade to shape the patch to fit the area. I tapered the edges so they wouldn't catch, in retrospect I left a point on one end of my patch but the instructions did inform me to round the edges and I would do that next time. I was able to get everything cleaned up and patch applied in about 5 minutes. Then 10 minutes of curing before filling it back up to original pressure. I left it overnight and checked the next day and the pressure didn't budge a bit. I'll be driving the patch this weekend on an offroad trip (note that this patch is not approved for on-road use and you really should just be using it to get off the trail -- I am just conducting some research about how well it holds up and accept the risks of driving on it) and will report back if it doesn't hold up but it really seems like it stuck on well and I don't foresee any problems. Definitely going to chuck this bag into my jeep and keep it as another option for trail repairs. Highly recommend

Ripped a hole in the side of a 35'' pitbull rocker on my jeep. Tried numerous things and just couldn't get it to hold air at all to get off the trail. ** Not for road use ** Bought this kit as a last ditch effort to avoid having to run a tube. I always thoguht these were kinda gimmicky. I installed one on the inside and one on the outside using their installation method. The patch itself doesn't leak. I've put a lot of trail miles on the tire with it aired down to 10 PSI and the patch just keeps holding up. No leaks! The hole is right under some lettering and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a good seal. Now I don't need to buy a replacement $500 tire for a $300 trail beater.

Kind of hard to rate until I've used it. Seems like a good product. Added it to my supplies for off-roading. If I use it and it works, I will come back and give it 5 stars.

Fitting larger tires on my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk presented a few problems. A larger size tire won't fit in the space under the rear cargo area were the stock spare tire is stored, which meant I had to pay another $1600 -$2200 for a rear tire carrier and an additional $600 for a full size rim and tire. Mounting on the roof raises the center of gravity and lifting a 75 lb spare off of a roof rack is not easy not to mention the cost of the tire and rim and mounts for the spare tire. So I thought I'll just buy a tire repair kit, ie plugs and strips. Then I remembered off-road damage can happen to the sidewalls. That's when I found this sidewall repair kit. The other potential but far less likely, was damage or failure of the valve stem, so I purchased a valve stem replacement kit. Whether these three "kits" are a substitute for a full size spare , I won't know until I suffer a flat tire at which time I will submit a follow-up review either patting myself on the back or crying in shame.

Do we all remember our first flat? Haha I know I do! I was 17 at the time on a muzzleloader hunt in Current Creek Utah. My TJ had 35” wranglers on it and man that Jeep was my pride and joy! While creeping around on a dirt trail in the woods to get to my favorite hiking spot I heard a sudden “ppfffff” and my front driver side went down. I got out and saw a chunk of root from a tree that had punctured my side wall! Oh man. Those tires were a huge investment to me at the time- over $1,000 on a lifeguard pay check was a big deal! I had to use my spare and prayed that I’d make it back without another freak puncture. If I had this product I’d have used it and ran it without worrying about being out a spare! I’m so excited to have this kit on board now. See my photo- At EJS 2025 this was set up at a booth. In the photo I circled in red a patch that the rep said has 10,000 miles on it! Crazy!! The one above it was installed that day. He does say that these are marketed to just get you off the trail. Obviously if you drive with a sidewall fix that’s considered unsafe if not illegal in various jurisdictions. That said, man what a product!!! The rubber seems to bond and become one solid piece- don’t ask me how that works I just think it’s cool! Buy this if not for yourself for someone else whose day you’ll save out on the trail!

These are amazing! Samed the day more than once. If you can take your time and clean the tire nicely they work as advertised or better! Rolled a tire over 400km on a temp patch no problem!

Si te gusta el off-road, es un indispensable en tu coche. Yo le añadiría un kit de reparación de válvulas.
