This serum has done wonders for my hair. I am now able to go for 3 days before I have to wash. The smell is definitely what got me, and I was able to extend the wash days, definitely a 5 out of 5.

As background, I’m a late 40s woman with very thick, wavy hair. I wouldn’t consider my scalp overly oily but since I only wash my hair a few times a week, it does get oily between washes. I used this product in two ways. For the first try, I followed the directions. I sectioned my freshly washed hair and applied the product to my scalp. I then air dried my hair. Once it was dry, the roots of my hair looked like straw. I was not a fan at all on day 1 hair. I decided to stick it out to see how it would feel on subsequent days. Day 2 definitely felt better, and day 3 felt like my normal freshly washed hair. Normally my hair would be pretty oily and even a bit itchy on day 3. This product prevented that so it definitely worked. I then decided to try the product a different way. Instead of applying to my freshly washed scalp, I waited and applied it on day 3. I felt like this worked much better for me. It dried out any oil I had and my hair looked great. So overall, while this product didn’t work for me as well as I had hoped, I can see how someone with an oilier scalp than me would love it.

this actually gives my hair a noticeable different in texture if I use it a few times a week right after I shower and keeps the oil at bay a bit longer than if I hadn't used it. great must have for summer hair if you have thick oily hair like me.

This serum caused a severe allergic reaction on the back of my scalp, almost to the neck. It is like second degree burns with huge lumps forming: extremely painful. Great product! Having long hair in a dry climate often means dry ends that need heavy conditioners. This saves my scalp! It’s so much better than dry shampoo and other similar products!

I tried this product thinking it would help reducing hair washes and the oil control on my scalp but it didn't. Also the dropper doesn't hold in the serum as you maneuver to apply it on different sections of the scalp. It leaks out very easily even before applying to the scalp, resulting in wasting a lot of the serum on your hair instead of the scalp.

I’m still not sure what’s the correct way of using it. In English, it says you have to apply after wash, then dry hair and style. In Russian, it says to apply before wash, shampoo and conditioner after… I guess I have to try both ways, but it’s a major manufacturing issue.
