A few years ago I tried a Scriveiner roller ball pen. It is a great looking and great writing pen. Based upon that good experience, I tried this Scriveiner fountain pen. This pen does not disappoint. I like the slightly heavy weight of the pen, it feels like I am holding something substantial. It is a great size, comfortable in the hand. It has a smooth finish yet remains easy to hold. It is functional and writes fast. The fine nib is excellent for taking notes, drafting essays, writing in a thought journal, or any writing that requires smooth flow without interruptions. It has not leaked in the slightest. Considered a mid-range pen, it quickly became one of my favorite "go to" pens.

I’ve tried this lovely pen in both the fine and extra fine nib. Love both but for my personal use extra fine worked best! I love this pen, the weight is just right. Writes smoothly in either nib, and is very well crafted. I’ve researched and looked a several in person. This one is classic in style, has everything you need to get started. Comes with cartridges and an inverter to use bottled ink if you like. Ink stores well in the pen and you don’t worry about running out. This one is a winner! Looks, feels and writes like much higher end fountain pen. Excellent value!

I purchased the British Racing Green AND the Black Green Fountain Pens and I must say they are stunning! They are a nice weight without being too heavy and posting the cap on the end provides a nice balance. First pen I opened, filled it with ink, and it glided across the paper. A true joy to write with that I quickly filled a page with doodles and words and such. I had a slight problem with the nib of the second pen. I contacted Scriveiner directly - they verified my problem and replaced my pen swiftly. Now the second one writes incredibly as well. So well, it has become my daily writer. Normally, I like a fine nib, but this Medium nib may have swayed my opinion. Would not hesitate to purchase from them again and also, some of the nicest customer service I have experienced in a long time.

I absolutely love my new pen. Even though I’m experiencing a minor issue with the nib, the pen still writes beautifully—which really speaks to its overall quality. Their customer service has been incredibly helpful throughout the process of resolving the issue, and I truly appreciate it. Without any prompting and after just two quick email exchanges, they sent me a replacement pen at no additional cost. The entire email process took about 5–10 minutes. Their response time was immediate, and the emails were focused on troubleshooting the issue as efficiently as possible. With that being said, I’ve been wanting to get into fountain pen collecting, and I will definitely be coming back to them for future purchases. The pen is very well crafted and has a nice weight to it. You can clearly tell it’s a high-quality piece, and the subtle design on the nib is especially elegant.

This is my second Scriveiner pen. The first a ballpoint similar to this that has many miles of writing and refills and is still perfect. Like the ball point, this is nicely weighted. Not too heavy, but not at all cheap. The pen has good weight and balance. I like the feel with it posted, and, you can write with it unposted pretty well. The nib writes smoothly, maybe just a bit scratchy, but that seems to be diminishing as I use it more. And, this is a fine nib as opposed to a medium. This pen starts right up, even after sitting overnight (I keep my inked fountains horizontally, so your experience might vary). There is no tapping, or wetting needed. There is no skipping or drop outs. I want to note the EXCELLENT customer service. You will see in the video I questioned how loose the grip is once loosened from the barrel when unscrewing. I contacted Scriveiner on instagram and they had me send a video, which they responded to within an hour saying it was normal and, if the pen starts loosening when it is seated, they will be happy to take care of it. I put the video here because some may not like the amount of loose and slop this grip has when unscrewing. For me, once the grip is tight on the barrel, there is no issue and the pen is solid and really performs very well. I can live with the looseness. AND, it does seem out of sorts a bit considering how well built this pen is overall. I don't have fountains that are this sloppy when unscrewing them to fill. Overall though, especially for the money, an excellent pen and very excellent and caring customer service. i would buy another Scriveiner without hesitation.

I purchased this pen to use to write my journal. How could I decide if I wanted to use a good fountain pen if I purchased a cheap one? Have to just dive in. It writes beautifully. The deep red color is quite elegant. It is well balanced in the hand. Loading it is very easy. This really feels like a quality pen, better than cheaper ones I have used. My only disappointment is, I guess, my own misunderstanding. I assumed that the pen was pre-loaded with one cartridge because of the wording of " two spare cartridges." If it doesn't have one already, then there aren't two spares. But I won't take a star off for what I feel is deceptive because I suppose it is my misunderstanding. I love this pen and would definitely recommend it.

The deep red is a satisfying and rich-looking, dimensional coloring. The pen itself is well-balanced in hand, whether posted or unposted and the writing is exceptionally smooth for a pen in this price range. I have both a fine nib and a medium nib pen. If you are new to fountain pens, the fine nib is your safest bet to begin your journey. As you gain experience with fountain pens, then move on to the medium nib for a larger variety of stroke sizes. Either way, Scriveiner is incredibly easy to use and lays down just the right amount of ink. Beautiful strokes and it dries quickly.

Absolutely fantastic pen! I am so glad I purchased it, it has been my daily writer of choice for the last... months, I guess? It feels amazingly balanced. I study chemistry and write by hand a lot - this pen feels like it was in my hand forever. The size, the grip, just perfect. Also, it looks very sleek and beautiful. The colour - oomph! Chef's kiss! I receive so many compliments about it. In regards of durability and quality: as I said, it is been in use for months and I have no concerns. The nib was smooth from the box, no adjustments were needed, converter works as it should. I find it very pleasing to use with more oily inks, like the Montblanc one, however my regular Pelikan 4001 does a great job too. After using this pen, I would highly recommend to choose it as a gift to anyone who loves writing, journaling, sketching. Trust me, they will be pleased. I don't know what pens receive people who say on Reddit that it is a cheap Chinese crap. I had more problems with my Pilots and Lamys than I had with this one. Absolutely would recommend!
