Best Rake 2025
Works as intended. Great for pinecones, leaves, and dethatching. I've already gotten my money's worth and it's been two weeks. The handle is very durable, but a little long. Every home owner should have one of these!

Thief approved!
Great rake! Oh no, I left it on a job. Went back to get it and nobody knows anything. 🙄 bought a yellow one this time. The rake works great. You can even push dirt or chips as well as pull to rake.

Works great. Nicely made.
It's a manual de-thatcher. Nice work out. Easy to use in little short pulls. Exactly what I wanted. Impressed with the quality for sure. I expected some flimsy piece and got a good quality item.

Great pine needle rake if modified
Pros: lightweight but still durable. Rakes pine needles with minimal clogging. Work well raking over rock landscaping. Replaceable parts available. Cons: Expensive. Tends to dig in or disrupt ground in current configuration. Pin used for attaching handle to head is a joke. With very little use it will cause hole in plastic head and/or fiberglass handle to become worn and loose. More plastic in that area of head is needed plus a bolt needs to go through to other side to make handle attachment secure. I bought this rake specifically for raking pine needles that fall over decroative rock landscaping. Needles clog up tines in all other rakes I have used. I need to point out that I modified the rake so the head is at a 30° angle to the handle. This places the tines at a less angle thus not digging up the rocks and less likely plug up with needles. I know this rake is on the pricey side but if the manufacturer would add an adjustable head to handle device. I also drilled the hole in the head through the underside and used 1/4" bolt and nut for a more stable attachment. Sorry, couldn't get a photo of modification to upload.

A Big Batch of Thatch!!
The Groundskeeper II Rake is the best rake that I have used to rake up thatch in my lawn. Several areas in my lawn had an extreme amount of thatch and the Groundskeeper II dug up so much thatch that I had a huge bagful in a short amount of time and without too much effort! My lawn appeared a little worse for the wear after dethatching, which I read was to be expected, but, with a shot of fertilizer and some deep watering, my lawn is lush and super green! This company is fantastic to work with as well. I had a minor issue with my rake, but, after an email to Customer Service, Susan was on it and resolved my issue promptly. Susan was extremely efficient and friendly... I love a company that cares about their customers, and I can attest that they do care! You will not regret purchasing the Groundskeeper II. I will be purchasing the 9-inch Groundskeeper II as well, that is how much I like it!!

This rake saved my orchard.
Let me start by saying this rake is fantastic. I've had a dead pine fall through the center of my orchard last year, and after cutting it all up and moving it, I could seem to find a way to get all of the inbedded branches and twigs out of the ground. I've tried hardware store rakes and they are not sturdy enough to pull sticks out of the ground. I've tried my landscaping rake but it just bounces and skips over everything. So I read some reviews and found this beauty, first impression, the tines look like something you'd find on farm equipment, thin, but very sturdy and spring loaded. This rake ripped all of those branches out of the ground, from the tiny little twigs, to branches up to 3-4 inches wide, it even dug up branches I couldn't even see. Up until now I've been weed wacking this whole area, but now that I have the means to clean it back up, I can finally push mower it again. I had to add a picture of just one row I've done, it was a quick pass and I only went over it once, but the results are astounding. This is only one row of my orchard and I've got lots to go, thank the heavens I've found this rake. I am a little old fashioned and would prefer a wooden handle, however I understand that keeping it light was the idea, it is very light and not very tasking to use, and it's made in the USA. Don't hesitate, I can't think of many better ways to spend 50 dollars.

Great product that really works on detaching!
The Groundskeeper works better than expected. I bought a dethatcher mower and returned it because of the Groundskeeper. It’s a little more work dethatching manually but it’s worth it with the money I saved. I would buy again. The customer support was great. They sent me a follow up. Great product! By the way, I am a woman in her 70’s and it works for me!

It sure does the job in the Spring especially when you want to remove and pick up all the dead grass. It works very well. Kind of hard to use but once you get the hang of it, it’s OK. Just not an easy task overall. But would not do without it. Very useful.
