Good but slow
Just received the meter so haven’t fully tested it. Initial thought is that it is slow to display. One reason for buying this meter is that it came with croc/alligator clips. But I do not like the way they connect to the leads.

Difficult to understand but I am not an electrician
Great device and I am not an electrician, the more I read the instructions the more I got confused, but it did the job in hand, again made in China, do we make anything in Britain anymore? Good value for money, well built device, nice bag and compacked box to keep it in. It has a very clear display. Handy size.

Versatile
Easy to use and versatile instrument. Even measures temperature. I bought it for its ability to measure inductance, but it can so much more. Hard to fault at the price.

Excellent overall feel and function
Still have much to learn to make full use of many functions but value for the money is excellent.I have another voltmeter that does not have any greater number of functions or versatility but was much more expensive.Congratulation to Proster Mulimedium TRMS 6000 - keep up the quality, reliability & price value.

Very nice: A little more thought would make it all 5's
It's a bit early days to decide exactly how good this meter is, as I'm only an occasional user. This is my first digital, and there were a lot to choose from, so it was quite hard to decide, as they all look so similar. So: first impression, was a bit spoiled when this quite expensive item, came in the same package as another very expensive item, from another supplier, and there were no invoices or paperwork for either of them inside the box.The meter itself is a good weight, and the control knob has a good sturdy feel to it. The leads are of good quality. It is a bit confusing that the back of the black moulding had '9V' marked on it, but it actually takes 3 AAAs. Presumably the moulding is left over from an earlier model.I'd not had a meter with a thermometer setting on it before, and, at first, I was a bit taken aback that, without the probe plugged in, the 'ambient' temperature was reading up to 3C higher than my lab thermometer and CH controller both said. It seemed to come back more or less into line with them after a couple of days though. It is a bit of a shame, that with 4 digits to play with, they did not go to decimal places with the temp read out, because, with centigrade, a degree is quite a big jump. It isn't clear where the temperature sensor is internally, and the temperature does go up while you hold it, so a certain amount of caution will be necessary if measuring ordinary temperatures.Another thing that lets it down a bit, is the carry bag, which could so easily have been equipped with compartments for different leads and connectors, but, instead, is just a zip around cover, that things fall out of that one would really prefer to be safely stowed in a nice case with the meter..These niggles apart, it is a robust piece of kit, which will make testing a whole lot easier than my rather tatty old avo. And Proster do seem to be very keen to be of service, so I don't really want to fault them, but these points indicate that with a little bit of thoughtful repackaging and minor design adjustments, there could be a full house of 5's next time around.
