The reason I ordered this is because I have two small mini fridges in my room and a mini freezer. My family lives with me. My daughter, her husband and two sons and a daughter have lived with me for the last year and a half. His sons have lived here for about two years. Recently I had some deli meat go missing from my room. It was over $40 worth of deli meats.The reason I keep it in my room is because even though I him it’s mine we all need a place to put our food. My husband passed away in March at the age of 64. It was very unexpected, but when I put my food in there and then my daughter shops for her whole family sometime one or the other of us can’t find room for a thing. Then there’s also the issue of the kids, not knowing what is available to them and what isn’t so they just eat what they want and I’m on a much more limited budget than the rest of the. It is possible that was the reason that may disappear but I don’t believe that was the case. I had just purchased them and that evening I made homemade subs for my granddaughter and I. I remember asking her to help me put the stuff away and she did not put them away so I picked them up and carried them in my room and I remember giving my dogs little bit of ham before I put it away. The next morning it was gone and my daughter found it weeks later stuck on the bathroom shelf behind our bath towels and things. I got upset about it and I bought these locks so that people couldn’t just go in my freezer and help themselves. It is very possible that they didn’t though and I don’t want to think that they would or accuse them because I’m not beyond forgetting that I’ve done something. However, either way if you have a reason to lock up your food, these worked very well.

Works great and easy to install and use !!

It worked fine the first week, but I will say the number wheels are very loose.After a week it would not unlock at all, just out of nowhere. Of course it was in the middle of cooking dinner and the fridge was now locked and inaccessible.

Worked as advertised though it is hard to turn the dials and no clear space where the numbers line up. The adhesive is very strong and the quality of material used is high. Was working fine until one day after a few weeks of use, neither would open. The release button on both locks seems to be froze and the lock will not unlock with the correct combination. Ended up having to peel it off the fridge to open.

If you look at the reviews attached to this, be sure to pay close attention to the item title attached to the review as many are NOT for this cable unit without padlock. This one is a very well made item, the plates are made of glass filled nylon and the cables are 1/4" diameter with cat zinc ends. The loops for the lock shackle are made for standard padlocks, I used a resettable 4 digit lock I bought at a hardware years ago when I had a locker at my job at a local factory. The adhesive is 3M adhesive, not a knock-off and it sticks very well. I cleaned the area for the adhesive with acetone then while the acetone was just dry I placed the pad in place and held it down firmly for a full minute. This cable only no padlock unit is a very worthwhile item.

Had been working great for a few weeks, easy to take on, take off. Once attempting to unlock it would not unlock. The combination that we had been using for weeks had worked every time, until then. So eventually we had to cut it off the fridge. We have not used the second one in the pack yet.

This is great if you want to keep people out of your belongings….. I use this on my work refrigerator, because unfortunately people believe that it’s ok to come into my office and take goods out of my personal mini fridge.

Worked great and served the purpose.
