The smell was so great before I even opened the boxes. I purchased 2 sets. I am a level 5 of 10 for putting together like items. I used wax on screws to easy them in--they were long. Using my drill was useful until I stripped the screw. They are heavier and more robust than I would have predicted. So glad I did go with plastic or pvc. I have a weird space to place these in without a straight line or 3 predictable angles (not 90° or 45°). Tall enough for my 35 pound dog. The instructions were clear.

This is a nice kit of quality wood. The design is thoughtful and goes to get her easily and looks good. The brackets are strong and the finish on them is nice. Only complaint might be the posts seem a little light and might be subject to damage if ever pushed to the side. Don’t use this fence anywhere that might happen. It would be nice if the company sold a gate kit that matches the fence. I had to improvise a gate from one of the fence sections.

I tried using the power drill for this all it did was strip the screws so I had to do them all by hand, took forever. But all in all, I like it so so much better than the ugly plastic fence I had around the AC heat pump units.

Good: -Made with real wood. -Good quality. -Simple assembly with clear instructions. Bad: -I would prefer an additional stake for separate panel use. I ordered the Zippity Outdoor Products ZP19075 Newberry Wood Fence Panel Kit, 48” W x 32” H (2 Panels). I like the real wood that provides a natural style for our outdoor projects. The panel assembly time was better than expected and the hardware offers good support for easy installation. Overall, I like the look of these panels, but for our project, the wood requires sealing with a durable protective finish.

I ordered 6 units of 2 panel each which arrived in two different deliveries. For the first delivered unit all wood parts were ok. I opened and started to assemble two units from the second delivery and for these some of the planks have dents and cracks, especially in bottom/upper rails which are most important for the panel to be properly assembled and last. One of the rails cracked when screwed in. I contacted the vendor “Zippity” asking for replacement of damaged part but didn’t hear back from. Another major flaw is that the screw heads are very soft and their Philips recess pattern get damaged during drill bit spinning. No matter if using low or high speed drill or even manual. Many can’t be screwed completely because of that. A nightmare I never had with all my previous projects! At the price they cost, and the poor materials they should at least arrive assembled and ready to be fitted with steaks. Bottom line, I received poor quality units (I have 3 more units to open) and no customer support for the defective parts. Very disappointing and would not recommend. Update: I decided to return these panels for an refund. After spending time and money to stain 3 panels, lots of effort to screw 2.5 panels, using different drill bit shapes and by hand screwing a quarter turn at the time the soft screws that have a painfully hard time to penetrate the wood; with cracking rails, I contacted Amazon for a return. Needless to say that the mounted panels couldn’t be unscrewed anymore due to deformed head screws. Tried using elastic bands and a screw driver but that was next to impossible. Amazon wanted the mounted panels back; I had to wrap and tape them in plastic which was another nightmare in itself. The return was another painful process. I informed Amazon for the day I am home for the UPS pickup, but UPS didn’t take this into account and came when I was not home. Keep in mind that they come only once for Amazon scheduled pick up and it took many phone calls to have Amazon be able to get them back pick up these monster packages. The cherry on top is that, despite the packages were delivered to Amazon warehouse 4 days ago, there is no return or refund start process posted on my Orders history. I called and asked about but so far I see no any action. Very disappointed with how this issue is treated. I would not recommend buying anything of high cost and dimensions from Amazon due to my painful experience that I have with this purchase and it’s return process.

I’m using this two panel set to hide some utility coming into my house in my garden. These panels come completely unassembled in a box. They are easy enough to put together in about a half hour. Installation is just pounding rods into the ground and you’re done. No concrete to mix. Wood looks nice and fits in with the garden well. They aren’t completely private, but that’s good IMHO. They look like a nice garden fence panel and not a privacy panel. Good quality, highish price, easy install.

This is not exactly what I was expecting. I thought the panels would be partially assembled, but they aren’t. You will need a power drill with Phillips bits, a hammer or mallet, and a scrap wood block. They advise you to use a level also. A 12-page booklet of instructions is included, and they are clearly illustrated. The boards are smooth. There is a QR code that was supposed to take me to the video on assembling the product, but instead it took me to a video on staining the product. The booklet estimates that it takes 60 minutes to put these fence sections together. The kit is made in China for a company that is in North Carolina.

Love the zippity brand and their products! Excellent quality and great attention to detail. This wood fence was no exception and worked great for our garden area, easy to put together and even easier to install into our ground. Nice and sturdy and very durable!
