Port of Lancaster Lancashire Whole Kippers - 3kg box

One of the few, very few foods that has retained its quality and taste since I first had one in 1965. I bake mine for 19 minutes at 175f on grease-proof paper then eat off the baking tray with thick buttered toast. Magnificent. Incredible value for money, and the size makes for a really good meal. 3kg is about 10-12 kippers, vacuum packed and arrive really well packed with ice tubes that keep them really chilled, I keep them in a fridge at 5c and they easily last 2 weeks - or just freeze them if you need to.

I am buying this item second time in row.This product has amazing taste, made from very fresh fish,smoked with real wood smoke,enough salt and other spice s. Suitable for cooking many dishes, when frying it tastes like hot smoked fish. Love it and would recommend to others.

Very good quality kippers quite large in size compared to some that I've had. They are not overly smoked and they have a mild subtle flavour came quickly packed well with ice blocks the Courier kept me updated on the delivery time

I don't normally write crits, but.... I've been practically brought up on Manx kippers... usually acknowledged as the ideal standard, but these kippers wre just as good. Thankyou to the Smokers and to the silver darlings. A bit pricey perhaps, but wow, worth it. P.S. This is a genuine post from a genuine punter.

The reviews are all spot on, arrived very quickly chilled beautifully and we got 7 packs of kippers - 2 per pack a pair. Very delicious so naturally smoked and the taste is amazing. Kept two packets out the rest gone in the freezer. My only comment is I wish they had been in a box with branding on it as they were for a present. but well packaged all the same, strong brown box.
