I ordered this after a freak accident where the glass on my last stove top broke. The replacement would have been almost as much as a new stove and was backordered for several months, so we ended up replacing the whole stove. I've been overly protective with the glass cooktop and this cover gives me peace of mind. It's thick and smooth, protects the cooktop from scratches and keeps it clean, and makes a nice work surface for food prep that doesn't require the use of the cooktop. I don't have much counter space so being able to use the cooktop surface for this is very helpful. I love that this cover can be put on a warm cooktop (I let the burners cool for about 10 minutes first) and that I can pull things out of the oven and set them directly on this (typically limit that to 350⁰ and below.) If I'm only using one burner I can easily roll up one side and leave the other side of the cooktop covered, which works out great if I'm also pulling something out of the oven. I wipe it down with a wet paper towel or run it under the faucet if I spill batter drips on it, and it cleans up very easily. It has developed a couple of little snags in the surface, probably from the corner of a box or something being dragged across it. They're not noticable unless you're up close and don't affect the use. The cover blends right in with my stove so you don't even notice it's there. I will say that my somewhat minimalist husband hates it but I do 90% of the cooking so he has to deal.

In between buying my new induction cooktop and having it installed I decided to read up on induction cooktops. I learned, among other things, that induction cooktops are subject to scratching while a pot is just sitting there cooking. Having dealt with a scratched up (non-induction) electric cooktop previously I knew I needed to do more to protect the new one. Reading the product description left me a little confused. Was it a mat you could put under your pots while cooking or not. I wasn’t sure but I decided to buy it because if I did manage to damage my cooktop I could hide it under the mat. I could also claim the covered cooktop to use as extra counter space for other tasks. I decided to put the mat to the ultimate test right away. I sautéed chicken on the cooktop with the mat between the cooktop and the pan. The mat did exactly what I hoped it would with no sign of damage to the cooktop, the mat, or the pan. The mat didn’t hinder the induction heating at all. The only thing I didn’t like is it was a bit challenging finding the middle of the burner, which matters because, at least with my cooktop, the pot needs to be centered. I expect this to get easier with practice. The photos shows nothing but light glare. The mat looks unused. I would buy this item again, but don’t expect to ever have to. Cleanup is very easy!

This is the second one of these covers that I have purchased. The first one lasted a couple of years and I was extremely happy with the fit on my Samsung stove, how it protected my easily-scratchable glass stove top, and how it hid the stove if I had not cleaned it real well after I used it. After a few years of use, however, it looked pretty unsightly with the coating wearing off a bit and leaving white splotches everywhere. So, I ordered a new one and received it quickly. I did have a small issue with this second one, but reached out to the company and they worked with me and made me happy. So, don't hesitate to purchase this stove protector from them!

Thin, but looks ok on the stove. It should add some protection and temporary extra space for setting plates etc on when washing dishes. This was the closest fit I could find for my 24x24 stove top.

We needed a 'cover' of sorts, to keep on the glass-top stove because we have a cat, and didn't want scratches on the glass (he's a cat, so he jumps up on things), and because it stays hot for so long - so didn't want to be in the other room, and the cat to jump and get burnt. This thing is FABULOUS! It is durable, just let the stove cool for about 3-5 minutes (which is about the time it takes to plate your food), then cover the burners up, and go eat - it's that simple. If it gets dirty, or if you spill the salt shaker, just pick it up, hold it over the trash, and wipe it down to get it clean. The material is fireproof, but it also acts as a sort of 'pad' for the stove-top. This thing is a serious a beautiful product, and a MUST for anyone and everyone with a glass cooktop! HIGHLY recommended!

I purchased this product about two years ago, mostly to cover my glass-top range, because it was impossible to keep it looking clean and it drove me crazy. I LOVE this product for so many more reasons. We have limited counter space, and I cook and bake, and it allows me to use the stove top as an extra countertop. After I've cooked something, I don't have to wait for the stove to cool to set other things on it - I just throw the blanket over the top of the hot burner (I sometimes put a trivet on top of the blanket because there is some warmth that comes through). It has kept me from inadvertently burning myself on what looks like a cool cooktop, and it is MUCH easier to clean than the stove glass. We keep it on there all the time and it gets lots of use and abuse, and it looks like it did when we bought it. Buy it, especially if you've got littles who want to touch the stove or you need more counter space!

Based on the company's own product photo and description (see attached), I bought this mat to protect our cats' paws from being accidentally burned after using our stovetop. After turning off the burner and waiting 5 minutes for it to cool slightly (the product literature says only 3 minutes are necessary). I placed the mat on the cooktop and tied to touch the mat where the hot burner was. I could not do so. It was far too hot to touch without burning my hand. That defeats the entire purpose of this product and for that reason, I have returned it, have rated it one star and cannot recommend it.
