Basic Math and Pre-Algebra: Tutorial and Practice Problems (Idiot's Guides)

Really good book. Using it to homeschool my youngest (7th grade) and it's easy to use, makes sense, and the instructions are clearly stated. Minor errors, but so far nothing we haven't been able to figure out. It's been 20 years since I did this kind of math, but it's not been any problem to pick it back up, so don't be scared to try.

We bought this book so that my partner could brush up on maths and prepare for an exam he has coming up for work. However, there are seemingly innumerable typing errors in the text. No less than 6 different typos caused massive confusion while studying. Typing errors aren't usually a big deal, but when the answer key CLEARLY has errors, there is an issue. 100% would NOT recommend.

Not good for beginners.

Writing and explanation is great! My 13 year struggles with math and the topics we have been working on have been very helpful.

Great book!I was looking for something to refresh or relearn everything I forgot or was never fully familiar with from early math. This really did it for me.Went on to study algebra, geometry, trigonometry and beyond thanks to this book.
