PERFECT FOR FRUIT FLIES & MOSQUITOS
So treasured and revered is this product that I have given it a name. I call it “The Zapture.”I think of “The Zapture” as my loyal companion, a wicked screen of searing voltage that sings the sweetest melody in a symphony of slaughter. I look upon the battlefield, littered with the teeny tiny husks, and relish in the beauty of our malevolent dance. Maybe I’m a monster, a harbinger of doom… If so, it is a crown I wear with nourishing venom. There is a perverse joy that courses through my veins with every swing of this lightweight and convenient power grid of pure doom.Zapture, oh how you crackle and pop with the tainted essence of a thousand souls. Your mesh, an artist's brush, paints the canvas of destruction in shades of charred fruit fly cremains. Each life you disintegrate adds a note to the sinister symphony that plays in the recesses of my mind. It's a composition of entomological agony, and I am the conductor of this macabre and largely percussive orchestra.Tell me Zapture, Do you feel them explode when you make contact? Do you share the rapturous release of knowing there’s one less insect that will dart about your peripheral vision while you try to get work done? OK… Maybe that’s just projection. Still… It's intoxicating, the power that surges through me as I carve through a diminishing cloud of swarming vermin like a scythe through crackling wheat. I am not just a warrior; I am a bringer of a lopsided vengeance, and I revel in it.Some may call it madness, this sick pleasure I derive from the sizzle and occasional scent with notes of electrified protein. I should shudder at the destruction I unleash, but instead, I grin with the delight of Nicolas Tesla if he were an ace exterminator. Oh mighty Zapture, you are my treasured accomplice in this grand theater of cruelty. The darkness within me craves the wicked satisfaction of seeing tiny insects get capitally punished for being annoying… and with a super-cool light show to boot.Let them whisper my name in terror, let them paint me as the villain in their tales. For I have embraced the darkness, and with the mighty Zapture in hand, I dance on the edge of sadism, finding delight in the malevolent yet increasingly sanitary tapestry we weave together.

These reviews are not for the product you bought
You notice how there's 5 products on the listing. Handheld bug zapper and a large plug in zapper. Well all the reviews are for the handheld one.Don't spend $50 on the large plug in one thinking it's a quality product because it isn't.It didn't stop working, it just never worked. They cheaped out so bad on the components, it's not high voltage at all. It doesn't burn the bugs up they just stick to it and squirm for a while.Fire hazard in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and go to the store and buy electronics from someone with a reputation to uphold.

Yes it works, and I'm officially an idiot. Purpose met, but a few safety features needed for this.
This will be a great little device to have around as fruit fly season approaches. Every year without fail I get hundreds of fruit flies. I have three normal ways of dealing with them. One, a bowl of a little bit of apple cider vinegar and a drop of dish soap. ACV attracts them, and the soap breaks the surface tension of the water, hundreds drown in a few days. Probably have to keep doing this, but too bad for those who fly around near me. Second fly paper and a strawberry. Amazingly they manage to slowly eat the strawberry as a few hundred get stuck forever n the paper. Lastly, for personal protection I have an old fashioned fly swatter. It doesn't get them very well, but just helps my mood if they want to "bug" me.Now about being an idiot, I often play with things I review to find out something interesting about it before being told what it is, and how to use it. So I naturally pressed the zapper button, and touched the screen. An audible snap was heard as my finger brushed the zapper grid. Ouch, yeah, officially an idiot am I. Although this brings up a few issues, yes they make a big deal out of not having three layered protection, but there are at least some things they could do. One they should make the zapper button recessed. It's too easy to grasp the handle, and press the button in error. Next, for this high a Voltage, and a pretty impressive current as well, I'd consider using better isolation. A rubberized handle insulator, maybe. If you are outside at a BBQ or something, and this gets sweaty or otherwise wet, it will probably zap the holder. Salty sweat or impure water make great conductors. Lastly it wouldn't hurt to put a bulged out guard of some sort on the outside to prevent idiots like me from testing it the wrong way.Given the high current (is this really needed for bugs), I'm thinking the current could be lower, and still get the bugs. Maybe it takes this level to kill them, but I'm not sure. Keep away, yes keep away, yes please keep away from children of all ages!! Idiot adults count in that number like myself, the little zap it did to my finger was painful enough, I cannot imagine someone inflicting this on someone's head, hand, or other body parts. Having gone to high school with people in an electronics class, that would sneak up behind you with an old fashioned large cannister capacitor. One that was charged to a few hundred volts. I know first hand how some don't seem to have your best interest in hand with horseplay. Even in college there were guys that in Physics class would put one hand on a Van de Graff generator and use a long aluminum rod to touch someone from behind. Never mind that both they and the victim get shocked at the same time. That was several times the voltage but much lower current than this by the way. Current does the damage, the higher the voltage the more distance the electricity can jump. This is plenty high at 3000 Volts. It definately works, I tried it outside last evening, zapped a few buzzing around the early blooming flowers. The light does seem to attract them in the dark to some extent, I just held it up without swinging and got a few. Large surface area makes it harder to miss if you swing fast enough. Today I took out a bee buzzing around. I wouldn't want to take on a hornets next, but a few wasps might feel the sting one day. If you live in the Southern half of the USA, it might be a good weapon if Killer Bees decide to build a next nearby. Still, OK for self defense, but maybe not an offensive weapon in the bug wars. Recommended only for responsible adults (not me apparently), and with no (especially younger ones) kids in the household. Too much of a temptation I think.

Fantástico mata moscas/mosquitos
The media could not be loaded.
