This device is working great to capture and convert my old VHS-C home videos to digital. I'm using OBS Studio to capture the videos. OBS easily detected this device. I tried for weeks to get my old be EasyCap 2.0 capture device to work on my laptop with Windows 10. But nothing worked. This device wasn't too expensive and I'm glad I can finally start converting my hinge movies. My uploaded video shows my uncle setting the date and time on my camcorder. 😂 😂

Got this little card when my other Cap card puttered out. It was rather easy to set up and worked right away in OBS for capturing my Nintendo Switch. I'm having a ball playing and streaming with it. It's still new, and like the old model I had of a different brand, I assume it may wear or burn out, but the price is so good, I might just bite the bullet and get another one!

I only have used it once with my DSLR to test and make sure it worked, it did and I had no issues.

This worked great! For a number of years I have used a Cam Link 4k, and now there are MANY more options out there. Will still be using the Cam Link in my permanent setup, but nice to have this when I need to take a camera and laptop and do something mobile simultaneously. This is a really nice unit, even down to the finer details. The HDMI capture card comes in packaging that looks quite professional, often times for things in this price range I just expect a plastic bag, this was a nice surprise. In use, I was able to plug directly into a USB-C port (didn't need the USB-A to C adapter) and OBS picked up the adapter right away. I like that there is a little bit of braided cable, the extra USB extension on the cam link always bugged me.... The stream was in 1080p, so I am unsure of the 4K claims. I did, however, have a Sony Camera plugged in for ~2 hours, and this unit did not even seem to get warm. It worked flawlessly for the whole time. If you want an inexpensive no-fuss HDMI capture card, this is it. It just works...

If you just plug this in and go to camera, it will show the video coming into it. Using windows, it just starts working if you have an application to show it. The manual, which doesn't actually say that you need to get the open source OBS Studio, which it refers to in the manual. The directions might be for a slightly older version, but I was able to figure it out. I'm not going to review the OBS software, which is just what the capture device maker says you can use. As for the quality, the 1080p at 60hz worked fine for what I was doing, which was with a raspberry pi output, which is most of the reason I wanted it. Not sure how well it would do with high action type of video, but there is no issues with movement of the mouse or windows when moving them around. For my purposes it's great.

I needed a capture card that allowed my laptop to enable HDMI INPUT from an SLR camera live feed . This only allows HDMI OUTPUT.
