BLACK+DECKER Electric Hedge Trimmer, 17-Inch (BEHT150)

Black + Decker tools are right in my financial wheelhouse and I read the reviews before I settled on this model. I have lived in Georgia for 2 years and am amazed by how fast greenery grows 'round here. I have paid the guy who cuts my lawn to trim the hedges but I actually like to take care of the garden area myself (no thank you to the lawn, edging, blowing in 90+ humid misery). I am 65 and active but a heavy, unwieldy trimmer would be too much for me.This little baby hits the sweet spot. I was afraid it wouldn't be long enough or not powerful enough to get through my bushes, but it cuts like butter. All I could use is help with the clean-up!Yes, it has plastic parts like the branch shield but this is everything I needed and wanted and it saves me $40-$80 that I was paying the lawn guy to do the job.

I love this. First of all, it's way sharper than the very old one I had been using. I especially like that it uses an electrical cord that plugs into a wall outlet (be sure to use a heavy duty extension cord), instead of needing to be charged up constantly. And - I used it for an hour, and the plug did not come out of the connector, which was a major problem with my old one. It's lightweight and somewhat small, so easy to hold and maneuver by this 95lb female. I could even hold it with one hand to reach certain areas. I'm using it to trim Asian jasmine and small tree seedlings, and light shrubbery, and it works super well. I have a feeling it would cut larger stems, too. Very happy.

I’m not very big but these clippers are sharp and light weight. The cuts can be a bit jagged but I got a ton done in a short amount of time. I like using a cord because it helps make them lighter but watch out! I accidentally cut 100 foot exterior extension cord my first go. Bummer.

It worked pretty good on trimming my shrubs but please make sure to use the part to wrap the electric cord. For my nephew didnt and accidentally cut the cord while trimming the bushes

I was skeptical at first but bought it. Glad that I did!!!, easy to use, and sharp!!! I do not have to pay for handy man to trim my garden :-)

This Is amazing easy to handle and the blade is super sharp. Great value for your money!
