Bright functional light at good price
Got this light for my kitchen, it’s overshadowed by my conservatory so has always been a little dark. The light it’s self is ok, it’s not going to win any design awards for its appearance, it’s perfectly fine to look at, fits fairly flush to the ceiling and is very unobtrusive, it would have been nice if the wooden accent ring around the outside was a little larger and maybe more rounded, this would have added a bit more of a premium look to the light once installed. The functionality however is the selling point for me, in my experience LED lights are much like candles in a paper bag, not even close to the brightness of an old style 100w bulb, this light however is much closer than any other LED I have purchased, on full brightness it’s bright, maybe not quite as bright as I would have expected for a 35w light but definitely good value for the price I payed The remote works well and it nice to be able to not have the light in lighthouse mode all the time, 3000k is very yellow and not that bright, 6500k is very blue and very bright, ideal for what I wanted, I would guess somewhere between the two extremes is where most people will want it around 5000k for a nice white that doesn’t burn your eyeballs. The wiring in American standard, so have that in mind if you are not in the USA, along with an uninsulated earthing conductor but it’s nothing some sleeving or tape can’t put right. All in all If you are looking for a good value bright light with the added bonus of a remote control then for the price you won’t go far wrong if you get this one, just hit the full bright button on the remote after you have installed it and your done, the light remembers the last setting so you don’t have to use the remote after that if you don’t need to. My kitchen is roughly 4 metres or 13 foot square much bigger than this and you might need 2 of these, that said it’s a naturally dim room and I do like bright lights.

Great value light - assuming it's bright enough for you
I've been looking at LED lights for a while to replace a spot-light set-up for my home office. Working at home a lot more recently, I've realised the previous lighting isn't up to scratch. I looked at a range of lights, all LED with remote controls, but wasn't really sure which was the best for my solution. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this. It's easy to install - although the internal wires are non-UK standard colours, the terminals are labelled so it's straightforward to attach the live, neutral, and earth cables. Also, the whole unit is incredibly light - normally, installing light fittings seems like a job where you need 3 hands. I was able to tape the unit to the ceiling with masking tape (temporarily!) whilst then screwing in the fixings. Indeed, I didn't even use rawplugs, and just attached the light directly to the plasterboard due to the fact it's so light (your mileage here may vary depending on the quality of your plasterboard though!) This light is 35W. The other two I had shortlisted were 48W and 72W. I think the latter would have been overkill for this room. It's not a huge room, about 3 x 4m. In hindsight, the 48w light might have been a better bet, but it's just about bright enough at max. The light is nicely diffused which was one of the main things I was looking for. My previous light gave a very harsh, direct light - not great for video conference calls! But I was also finding that I couldn't quite get the light right and my eyes were getting tired. This softer light seems much better. All the lights I looked at came with a remote control and this does too. It's quite handy, allowing you to change the colour 'temperature' from a warm white (more yellow) to a cool white (more blue), as well as having quick shortcuts to go to full brightness, night-light mode (lowest level), as well as max daylight or max warm white. These are all quite helpful. It's also got a timer mode but I haven't tested this and don't think I'll utilise it. Helpfully, when you switch the light off at the wall, the next time you pop it on, it'll come on at the same setting. One thing about the remote is that the steps (whether in brightness or colour temperature) are quite large jumps - some of the more expensive models have 'stepless' changes in brightness, but no such luck here. However, it's still got enough flexibility for most I guess. The light itself looks good - these things are subjective. Up close, when removed from packaging, it looks and feels quite cheap, but mounted flush to the ceiling, I think it looks good. Unlikely to win any design awards, but it's a ceiling light after all! The only other concern will be one of longevity. I can't comment on this yet, having only installed the light yesterday, but I hope it does last a good number of years. Due to the nature of the construction, unless you're quite geeky, you probably won't be able to change either the LED strips or the driver/transformer - meaning, when it begins to fail, you'll likely need to replace the entire light. However, given the cost, that's perhaps acceptable - though perhaps less so from an environmental perspective.

Good value (if they last!)
Simple lights, the silver bezel is plastic but looks fine when its on the ceiling. Colour can be changed with 5 settings from very orange to very blue but this has to be selected before you put the diffuser in place it is NOT controlled by a remote. The listing says it should work with most dimmers but with ours it only has 3 settings: on, off or twisted firestarter strobe mode! All on all cheap modern and we're happy.

Good fitting with great functionality
Pleased with our choice and the remote control adjustable warmth and brightness is really useful. The remote has two buttons to instantly go to full brightness for either Daylight or Warm White (like old bulb warm colour) you can then change the brightness or colour shade to suit. There is a night light function and a timer, both useful. The full brightness daylight is ideal if you need to do work as the 35w model throws out plenty of light in a 6 x 4m room, i understand its about 300 Watts equivalent to old incandescent bulbs. The shade is thin Acrylic and is nothing special but the wood ring really lifts its appearance even in an old cottage with low ceiling. Easy to install, it has a selection of mounting holes, some seemed to correspond to the old ceiling rose screw holes. Easy connection by a screw terminal block but read the printed L N and E symbols on it when wiring as the wire colours are unusual. It is CE marked on the box. The fitting creates a little warmth in use, but minuscule when compared to an old double bulb flush fitting. In use there was no evidence of EMC noise from the electronics on a nearby radio. The shade is held in by aligning the side 'internal' thread to pins in the metal mount and then secures by rotating for a few degrees. Overall it is a good fitting and recommended, looks ok and has great functionality.

Awesome light.
So easy to install. Love the different lighting creating different moods. Easy to operate with the remote and looks great once up. Very lightweight which is a bonus when fixing to the ceiling and a good contemporary design. Excellent service and speedy delivery as always from Amazon. Many thanks.

Luxurious Crystal Chandelier
This item needs to be put together yourself, it doesn't come ready made, as I was expecting. It is extremely fiddly to attach all the crystals to the chrome plate, I think there were over 200 to hang on the two that I bought. They are easy to put up, once this has been done and look very attractive. The mistake I made is that I didn't know you could buy different types of LED lights and I brought a very bright white bulb which looked dreadful at night, it was so cold looking and the room wasn't feeling very light even though it had bright bulbs. So I have since bought some new soft warm LED bulbs and it now looks nice. So be warned, you will need to buy the bulbs yourself, they don't come with this item, so check what type you buy carefully.
