Hi, The battery I use is a Makita BL1830 18 volt lithium ion 3.0AH LXT. This battery works perfectly with the LXT, I’m not sure the one you mention would.

Any idea how long the light would last with a given capacaity battery, say 4.0Ah?

It all depends on the battery life it self, my 5 amps last 6 hours - 8 hours. But this torch has 3 different modes I put it on the all round one ( the first click )
