Although this item isn't waterproof, it is still an easy way, to connect two wires together. It's UL approved, so that's a good thing.

Everything about these types of connectors is game-changing. The ease of connection could not be simpler. If the wiring needs to be reconnected, you just unclip and re-attach, unlike wing nuts, where the wiring needs to be straightened out before reconnecting. They also take up much less room in tight-fitting spaces. Usually, I am very cost-conscious, but the extra money is worth it.

These splices are awesome! They are the greatest invention when connecting solid copper wire with stranded copper wire. I have used crimp connectors in the past to make this type of connection and always felt uneasy about the longevity of the splice but using Wago connectors, I have total confidence. Pay the extra few cents and get the original Wago’s and not the cheap China knockoffs. I tried the China ones and they do not hold the wire securely and I returned them.

I bought these because I get very impatient wiring and I'm not exactly the best/cleanest at electrical wiring in small spaces. They are very easy to use but they do snap hard so be sure not to have your finger get pinched. I definitely will continue using these because they honestly feel like a bit of extra security in getting a clean connection and not letting the wires cross touch. I most recently used this when wiring a heavy hanging chandelier and didn't really have proper footing to stand up there and do a careful connection. Using these made it so much faster and safer.

These were perfect for creating emergency use connectors for going from unterminated wire to Anderson PowerPoles.

My home has strangely small boxes - from the late 1940s - so there's precious little room for wire nuts. These little guys make ALL the difference in the world!
