Excellent pressure washer - really good results
I put off buying a pressure washer for a long time - I read a lot of reviews before plumping for this one, and I'm really pleased with my choice. It wasn't the cheapest on offer but it is really easy to use, very powerful, compact in size and comes with useful accessories. I have used it to clean the car, garden furniture, and the patio - and I'm really pleased with the results

A very well made and reliable brand
Bought to replace my old worn out Bosch 100 pressure washer that gave years of reliable use, then I foolishly bought a different brand that was next to useless. Ive now bought a Bosch Universal aquatak 135, extra rotary nozzle and an Aquasurf 250. Heres how I got on:- Having checked out some of the reviews, I fail to understand claims of no assy instructions etc, mine were readily available although it doesnt take a mastermind to assemble the lance and attach the hose and fit it into its storage rack (not at all hard to do). The first thing I noticed was the increased power (my old Bosch was 100bar) and tried it out by cleaning a few patio slabs first (see pic) - no description needed, it just took under 20 minutes. I then proceeded to clean my resin bonded front driveway, initially with the lance, which looked like it was going to take quite a while so I connected up the patio cleaner I had bought as an accessory. This speeded things up no end, the ratchet on the lance (which a youtube reviewer couldnt understand what it was for) came into its own here - it enables the relation of the patio cleaner and lance handle to be radially adjusted so when in use, the rotary unit is flat on the patio. I found that SO much dirt was removed it was difficult to wash it away, but soon found that by raising the patio cleaner off the surface by a few inches, the resulting water spray washed it all off admirably. I stored it all away after use by disconnecting the hose from the main unit and hung it all up on my garage wall complete with lance still connected, the power unit had its handle lowered and stored on my racking. The extra bits ie:- 3 position nozzle (currently unused), car wash bottle etc was just stored away in an old biscuit tin clearly labeled. All in all (especially getting a 3rd year warranty by registering it) I think it was a very wise investment. The old saying that you get what you pay for rings true here. 100% recommended. Very well pleased that I bought it.

Worth the money, but check you need the large version
It worked well cleaning a decked porch. However, I ordered the larger of three versions which is indeed very strong and can occasionally damage wood if not carefully used. Nothing too serious really, but one of the smaller versions would supposedly have worked as well. It needs a lot of power and water. It did blow the 10A fuse of the otherwise unused circuit I first put it on (at 1900 Watt it should have stayed slightly below that point). One water hose did not stand the high pressure at the input plug and repeatedly detached within seconds; another one connected fine without problems for the 2 hours I used the machine. Because I needed to use an extension lead to get power form a 20A circuit (make sure you have a lead rated high enough) and water from the other end of the small garden the setup wasn't ideal with cables/hoses in the way most of the time and a certain risk of water reaching the extension lead plug. Everything worked out in the end with good results, but it was more tricky than expected. It's a high quality device and if proper supply points are available and the power it provides is needed, it's certainly worth the money.

Powerful, compact and flexible.
Having had cheaper pressure washers before and them not lasting long (motors packing up, lances leaking which cost as much or more to replace than buying a new unit), I thought I would go with a more well known brand. After having a bad experience with Karcher I was looking at Bosch or Nilfisk. This one was on offer from Amazon (half price) so I plumped for it. Bargain. The unit comes with a 3 in 1 head which gives you a pencil jet (thin & powerful), Rotating jet which is like the pencil but it moves around in a circular motion and the standard fan (this is the least powerful to be gentler on items like your car). This head is extremely handy as you have no changing of heads for the different types, you just twist the end into the selected jet position. You also get a detergent dispensing bottle/jet - the jet on this is of a fan type as well. I used this attachment with some Autoglym polar blast pre-wash snow foam and it foamed pretty good. The bottle in my opinion is rather small and is used up in the space of a minutes use. There is no control to make the mixing faster or slower which would have been nice. Over all I was happy with the performance though, the bottle lasted (just) to cover my 4x4 in foam. The power cords is about 5m in length, the wand hose is 7m in length which is decent for a pressure washer. The lance is in 3 parts which store in clips on either site. They fit together by a push and twist connection. I found the 3 in 1 head quite stiff to push on but it does go and I suppose it is more likely to prevent leaks than if it was a little more loose. One part I am not a big fan of is the connectors for the pressure hose. They are push fit which is fair enough but when you have finished using the washer you have a tab that you need to push to the side to release the connection. If there is any water pressure at all in the pipe then these tabs are extremely hard to push to release the connection. I had to use something to lever the tab to release the pipe connector. Next time I will make sure that I empty as much of the air/water from the pipe before trying to disconnect the pipe! One feature that may be of use to some is the 'self priming' facility. To use this you need to buy the self priming kit, it does not come with this as standard. It allows you to use non mains water supplies like a water butt, bucket etc to supply the water. The kit is essentially a pipe with a filter & back flow suppressor that you connect to the machine and submerge the other end into your water source. I doubt I would ever need/use this but you never know and I can see the usefulness for some situations where a mains tap is not available. It also actually compacts down quite small. The handle moves down (like a lot of washers) but it also folds back so the total height is the height of the main body. A word of advice: Bosch have two fitting types for their accessories and buying them is a minefield. There are 'AQT' fittings and 'Aquatek'. Although this is an Aquatek model do not get Aquatek accessories. This washer takes the newer AQT type fittings (they are the same as Black & Decker pressure washer connections). I bought a show foam gun from a local shop so I was able to take my lance in to check the fitting. The Aquatek will not engage fully as there is a collar stopping the accessory going all the way in. The Black & Decker/AQT fitting worked perfectly. If you register on the Bosch website within 28 days you also receive a full 3 year Bosch guarantee. The downsides I see are small overall which is why I gave it 5 stars and recommended.

Great once you get pass the instructions
I am now in love with this machine. It took a little while to get used to it, as i have never had a jet wash before or used one other than in the petrol station (car wash). The instructions were hard to understand for a newbie but using the booklet and the diagrams on the box, i figured it out how to construct it in the end. I am very weary about electrics and water and i think it is essential that instructions are idiot proof, which these obviously are not. Once i got everything working i loved it! It is easy to use and change settings and when you have shampoo/detergent of some kind, just swap the attachments. The more you use it the easier it is. The pressure hose is about 6 meters long but is very curly, so not that easy to get it where you want it straight away, i assume it will loosen with use. To have a long hose would be a great advantage as you need to plug the electrics in and wherever that will be is roughly where your base unit will stay (with some flexibility), so you rely on a long hose and using your puzzle solving skills to get the best range. Obviously wear work clothes as they will get mucky with spray back. This has really helped clean my driveway and my car. I did use an attachment which is not included for the driveway, which i do recommend too. Overall, a good experience and powerful enough to do what most average households need it for. Great value and a hard working machine.

Easy to assemble, and much lighter than the Karcher 4.
This was promptly delivered, in fact in advance of the notified arrival date. Out of the box easy to assemble, providing the diagrams in the back of the booklet are followed carefully. Nothing too tricky although the connecters from the water outlet at the rear and to the handgun need a very firm push to overcome the resistance of the hold mechanisms within. All looks robust and pretty well made. Haven't used it in anger yet, so time will tell, but by registering with Bosch, gained an additional year warranty. The registration online was the most difficult part, a Bosch now use a OneKey service, together with Siemens, Neff etc, and it wasn't at all clear how to register at first. TOP TIP, the washer comes with a clear plastic water filter which mounts on the front of the machine at the water inlet via a screw thread to the reverse, and with a 'Hozelok' type O ring connecter to the front. It doesn't look especially robust if the washer were to topple over, so the easy solution is to go back to the tap where the hose connects, remove the existing connecter - if it is of the 'Hozelock' type - and screw on the filter at that point where it is less likely to be damaged. Then screw on the former connector direct to the water inlet in the front of machine and you're done.

Bosh quality control is slipping
Seems Bosch don't mind sending faulty products out. I received this item and it instantly started leaking from inside. I called product support and was told it was a faulty gasket. It's caused quite an inconvenience. I won't be buying Bosch products anymore, I did trust them and now I don't. How could I when there's obviously no quality control anymore
