For seasoned readers of dark romance.
The smut in this book is top notch, with a lot of details thrown in making it incredibly descriptive. But I did find the story quite hard to follow at times, especially towards the end where lots of characters are mentioned close together and it's hard to remember their relationship to the main characters. It's certainly worth a read if you're into the darker side of dark romance, but I wouldn't recommend this to a first time reader of the dark romance genre, purely because it is very dark in some places.Overall a good read for the smut content alone.

Loved it
“When you’re raised in hell, heaven is a fairy tale that doesn’t exist.”I could not put this book down it was fantastic.Saint and Ashton’s story was amazing. I felt like I had been on an emotional rollercoaster after reading this. Shantel finds a way to rip out your heart then slowly piece it back together again. The spice was 🥵🥵. And the mirror scene 😮 (I loved it).Haidyn and Kash I cannot wait to read their stories!!

Absolutely Perfect
this book blew me away! I am a massive fan of Shantels books so had read most before this was even released and was looking forward to this release, this book did not disappoint in the slightest. the twists and turns held me captive right up until the end and the way it incorporates the other books was like she wove a magic spell. well worth a read and highly recommend any of her books. Read the TW though

poor read - I barely enjoyed this
I had high hopes for this book and was sorely disappointed. This was like so many others have said anticlimactic. It held zero interest until around 70%. But the last 15% was great. Epilogues were the best bit. This book claims not to be a RH but it may aswell have been. I completely hated all the sharing scenes.I had such a hard time believing Saint truly loved Ashton until the last 15% of the book. While he does do things which protect her they also protect him aswell. He withholds so much from her when he could have given her some details. The epilogue was the nicest and most believable part of this whole book. I felt the loved he had for Ashton and believed in it. I hated every sexual interaction they had was basically him calling her either a sl ut or whor3 I get she’s into degrading but he was never nice to her apart from once all the truth comes out which is at the end of the story. The plot left me so confused. Unlike the lords books the girls all had someone plotting against them for a reason. In this book there was none, there is no real reason why her mother has her r@p ed and drugged. There is no reason why ashtons mum and the therapist conspired against her so much and it never gets explained. Ashton dad goes missing but he is never revealed again or explained why he goes missing. It’s never explained who gives Ashton the keys to run and sets her up with a new identity or who the man is in the corridor who tells her to leave. Benny getting help with holding Ashton hostage, breaking into carnage or why he finds Ashton once she’s escaped, all the men working for benny - none of this is ever explained. I get benny was paid by the mum to r@ pe Ashton but it doesn’t explain why he continues to do this once he kidnapps her from carnage and hides behind a mask. It never gets explained what happens to the boys while the therapist is in charge of carnage or how she leaves. It’s never explained why Ashton dad never took action against his wife for what she did or how she managed to have Luke and him not know about it. It’s not explained how benny got to know Whitney. It’s not explained why Whitney helps ashtons mum.For a couple who wanted to be together so bad they don’t actually do a lot of talking. I hated the way Saint treated her and never once tried to talk to her about anything going on.Overall this book was incredibly disappointing, I hope the next book is better and more on the level of the lords books because this one was not it!

Shantel does it again! Another 5 star!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“I Vow. You Vow. We Vow”Ok but I don’t know what is in these books but I cannot get enough of them!I loved Saint and Ashlyns story! I really enjoyed how the first part of the book was a backstory to their whole situation and how we got to know all the carnage brothers better!I will say it I’m in love with all 3 of them!I think the thing I love the most about these books is how they are all technically standalones but if you’ve read the previous books there are soooo many connections and when all of these little connections pop up I’m 100% that person that sits and squeals at the book! This book had quite a few of those!Honestly the books are all such great reads! If you’re looking for pure smut WITH a whole side story aka PLOT… AND the best mystery that honestly keeps you guessing to the end and you literally DO NOT SEE COMING you need to read these books!I neeeeeeeeeddd Madness like yesterday!! I don’t know how I’m gonna survive waiting for it!

Wow can't wait for other brothers books
Lots of twists and turns. The smexy times don't really do it for me, drool ain't a turn on but to each their own. The main story was engaging and the brothers book seem ?one they will be the same based on how they are written in the one.

Holy Moly…
DAMN. This book was spicy, the right amount, and had enough of a backstory to make it really enjoyable smut. Bang on for me!

Ties it all together
“Carnage” by Shantel Tessier is an intense and captivating read that I couldn’t put down. Having read some of her previous books, I was excited to see what this one had in store, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The plot is gripping, filled with suspense and drama that kept me hooked from beginning to end.The characters are deeply developed, especially the main male characters (MMC), who are both raw and complex. I found myself really caring about what happened to characters and getting emotionally involved in their stories. What really stood out to me was Tessier’s attention to detail. Her vivid descriptions and well-researched details made the story come alive, making it easy to picture every scene. The pacing was perfect, with just the right amount of twists and turns to keep things exciting without feeling rushed.Overall, “Carnage” is a fantastic read that I highly recommend. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions that will leave you eager for more from Shantel Tessier.

Strong story lines and characters
CarnageBy: Shantel TessierThere are a number of things that one can say about Carnage. This book had solid story lines, yes, lines with an (s) because there were several story lines going on throughout this book, each story line was connected to the other and the connections were strong! They grew which gave the characters many openings to grow and in some cases to show how we think we know everything about them, but in reality we know very little until all is revealed at the end. This is what I look for in a book a solid story line that can take you on a journey and in the end you may agree with all that has happened or you may not, but your journey has been one of reading and watching each character.Readers find out the difference between the LORDS and being a LORD and a SPADE BROTHER……BIG DIFFERENCE!One of the things that drew me into Carnage was the romance, the love story between Saint and Ashtyn. I know it’s a dark romance, but frankly sometimes a strong romance can make the dark fade and bring the entire story to the forefront. In Carnage, the author managed to not just let the “dark” have it’s way, but in many cases she ripped the bandage off and reminded readers that this isn’t just one story it is the culmination of several and the crossing over of others. That is the next thing that puts my review at a 5 star level. For long time readers it was exciting to see old friends. I love that in a book, when you need answers you may have to walk back a series or two.I knew from the beginning that this was going to be like a hunt, when I read this line in Chapter Two “Let’s just say one day I might need a favor.” I had a gut feeling what we readers were working towards….and DAMN it was very rewarding when it was over!A strong storyline and strong characters made this a 5 star read for me. It is important that before you start reading you read the trigger warnings found inside the book.

Dark romance
The last book in this series for now.Ashtyn Lane Price is the daughter of a Spade brother. This means that she must marry a son of Spade Brother and she has to be a virgin to do so.She only has one man in mind Saint MF Beckham Carter. She became his choosen and he shared her with his Spade Brothers Kashton and Haidyn. They moved her to carnage and then everything began to fall a part! There is a big miscommunication trope going on along side a secret pregnancy. So Ash did the only thing she could thing of and RUN for her life! But the Spade brothers aren't done with her. She is Saint's wife and they are determined to get her back."Oh, Ashtyn, the things I'm going to do to you will make you beg the devil himself to come and take you away from me."And when he finds her in the club and has his way with her! GODDAMNIT that was hot!Saint Beckham Carter will always be my book husband.I loved every single book!5 star read right here!!!

AMAZING
Carnage had be on the edge of my seat for the whole 24h that took me to read it. I was literally dying to get off work so I could finish reading it. And I listened to part of it on audiobook when I was running errands — Teddy Hamilton is one of my, if not my favorite narrator of all time. Chef’s kiss for Saint, Teddy. 🖤Shantel is a master of plot twists that twist even more and leave you completely shocked. There wasn’t a moment in this book that I felt was dragging or boring. Ashtyn, Saint, Kash and Haidyn feel real, with real motivation and flaws. Sometimes you love them and some other times you want to smack them for what they do, but not in a “WTF are you doing? You’re so stupid!”. You understand the reasons for their actions. There is A LOT of spice, but so perfectly placed throughout the book that it never feels like you’re just reading smut with no plot. Shantel know how to write spice laced with plot and do it so perfectly. And I need to mention these things because I feel some are going to live in my head rent free forever:• The Spade brothers riding their bikes.• Haidyn… Just him.• Kashton + a hook = perfection. It reminded me of I Know What You Did Last Summer, only with a different type of hook.• Chapter 56 forward… I cried, I yelled, I gasped, I almost threw my kindle to the wall…. What a third act!!!
