Loaded with modes and options for about $45
I didn't expect much from a reverb pedal under $40, but the M-VAVE Mini Universe might be the best budget ambient pedal on the market. I use this pedal in my mini-pedal board for classical guitar (EQ-compression-reverb) performances as I transition away from the Marshall reverb pedal which has served me well over the years. Here's what the pedal offers: 9 Reverb Modes: Room, Hall, and Plate, plus unique sounds like Shimmer, Cloud, and Bloom (some of which I'll never use). Great Sound Quality: The Shimmer and Cloud modes create large, ambient sounds that you'd find on more expensive pedals. Adjustable Settings: Unlike many simple pedals, you control Decay, Mix, and three settings for each mode to customize your sound. Compact & Sturdy: Its strong metal casing fits well on a packed pedalboard. Dual Power Options: Use a standard 9V adapter or a USB-C cable to power it. Loaded with modes and options, it's going to take some time for me to dial in those sounds I want for the Bach repertoire I offer, but you can't beat the functionality for around $40-$45.

Great reverb unit with high-end sounds.
An amazing reverb pedal for little $$$. I needed a reverb pedal for my PRS HDRX20 amp, and thought I would try the M-VAVE just for fun. It is a serious contender! I use an Earth Quaker Astral Destiny verb on my pedalboard and love its spacey-modulated verbs. I am happy to say the M-Vave Mini Universe is the real deal. Extremely long, detailed verbs with modulations, Shimmer, Hall, Spring Plate, Clouds, and more. This is not a typical cheap trashy reverb. Very happy with the purchase.

So much potential but fell short
I love the great ambient reverbs that this pedal has, I also had one prior to ordering it from Amazon but it suffered from the loud foot switch pop sound. I figured I would buy this again since I heard that they corrected that issue and they did, not loud pop but the Bloom effect is missing. I did find the Bloom reverb effect but it was not as present as with my pedal. This pedal is a great copy of the Stryman Big Sky, not completely but close enough at almost a tenth of the price. Still this updated version is worth people who are looking to add character to their sound, it is worth getting.

Good quality budget reverb.
I needed a inexpensive reverb pedal for my board until I can get a fuller featured pedal. This one has a good sound, and a lot of control to dial in the tone. The included manual is very small and hard to read. A larger version or online manual would be nice. They also included a quick parameter cheat sheet on the back of the pedal, which is a nice touch. The build quality is good, with a solid metal enclosure. The knobs are solid with slightly less resistance than my Boss pedals. The footswitch feels a little "squishier" than my other pedals, but I have not have any issues with the switch. The mode knob is indexed, and does not line up with the text, so you sort of have to "count" to see what mode you're in. This would not be ideal if you need to change modes between songs at a gig, but in a "set and forget" mode just clicked on or off, you would be fine. Overall it is a good value for the features offered.

M-Wave Mini Universe Reverb
Just got the M-WAVE Mini Universe reverb pedal last night. but was able to spend a few hours with it. It was purchased to be used for my Marshall DSL40C rig. I've never been happy with the onboard reverb of that amp. Overall, it's a decent sounding reverb. The Plate and Hall are probably the more practical options. The Shimmer is decent too. Depending on the intended use would matter a lot with regard to keeping vs returning it. There is a high noise floor on this. When used clean, for example an Acoustic pedal board, the noise is a non-factor, and yes, you can get some very usable reverb sounds. However, If the intended use is a pedal board for an electric guitar setup, where gain/distortion is going to be used, you won't be happy with the noise this thing puts out. As mentioned in some of the other reviews there's a whining sound no matter how you set the effect, mix or params controls. I'm not hearing the loud "POP" that others have mentioned. The overall construction is a bit subpar, when compared to similar pedals, which of course are not $40.... so yea, I get it, a reasonable compromise with the cost vs. ruggedness of the build. If it's going to sit on a pedal board, as a Set it and forget it" reverb, it seems fine. But only time will tell I will probably keep it but instead use this for the Acoustic pedal board instead, moving the Holy Grail reverb to the Marshall rig.

Great for my microfreak
For the price I was surprised how good it sounds. I am using it on a synthesizer so I don't notice any buzz or noise, but it goes great with my microfreak. It feels a little cheap but for the price what do u expect? I have a midi controller made by mvave that I got for like almost nothing years ago that is still kicking. Would I bring it on the road? Yea maybe but I wouldn't be surprised if it didnt last a full tour. Still for the money I would buy it again.

Love this pedal!!!
Absolutely love this pedal! So much so, I bought 2 of them, one for Sunday services and one for at home to practice. They both sound great! Neither have given me any issue at all. I see a lot of comments about this is wrong that sounds bad... I haven't experienced any of those problem, i love this pedal more then my memory man and my blue sky, mostly cuz it didnt cost that much and its sounds amazing! Im Very happy with both!!! In case you couldn't tell!

There are some great reverb effects on this pedal, particularly the shimmer reverb that can be tuned to harmonise with what you are playing, if you turn the knob all the way right you get a perfect octave. Lovely. The spring doesn't sound very springy to my ears but otherwise a great pedal. Solid build and great value for money.

Utilisé en concert, j'ai bien aimé le choix des réverbérations possibles. Je n'ai pas entendu de bruits parasites lors des coupures. Très bien pour le prix.

Great value for the price. Worth every rupee spent for this great sounding reverb for a garage band musician, (with 9 reverb modes at less than Rs. 900 per mode). Shimmer mode performs well at this low price point, but can't beat the RV6, HOF2. Favorites are Bloom(BLOM) and Cloud. Mine had only "BYPASS" written below the footswitch (not TRUE BYPASS), so I guess the popping sound is now factory fixed. Remember to use a DC adaptor with Center negative. Use the Drift (Param 3) knob wisely. Twist the knobs and get enveloped in a wash of lush ambient sounds that transport you into your own 'Mini-Universe'. Waiting for a stereo version of this mighty dwarf (Durin?).
