Champion Power Equipment 4500-lb. ATV/UTV Wireless Winch Kit

This winch appears to be well-made. I have a 2016 Honda that I stuck a HarborFreight winch on. I immediately had issues with that and did not want to go that route again. This winch is beefy and I got it with a handlebar mount which I actually put on the front rack. Installation was a breeze taking about an hour altogether. Price was fair no complaints and no issues.

I got this winch to replace my old Polaris winch on my ATV. It was the same style so it was a quick replacement. Works great and is very durable

Nice looking winch. Wish it had a nylon cable but that will do. I haven't hooked up the wireless remote yet but everything else is fine. It's a winch for my open car trailer which I usually drive on so it doesn't get much use.

Bought this winch for a 2002 Honda TRX350 Rancher four wheeler. It will be used primarily in conjunction with the snow plow attachment for the unit to raise & lower the blade, but will also see some use as a "log dragger." Definitely impressed with the packaging for the unit as the box was both taped and stapled to keep everything together while it was being physically abused during delivery transit. It arrived with numerous scuffs but no penetration of the packaging. Also impressed with the owner's manual. The unit may have been manufactured in China, but the owner's manual was written by someone with an exceptional command of the English language, unlike numerous other products I've purchased where the owner's manuals / instructions left me scratching various parts of my anatomy trying to figure out what they are talking about. Installation instructions were clear with good illustrations. My only "beef" would be with the physical mounting of the winch to the mounting bracket I used. The supplied bracket was not usable for my application and it was not possible to mount the winch to the mounting bracket before installing on the vehicle (as suggested in the instructions). So, one is left with the task of trying to install a 20+ lb. winch on a slope, holding it in place while trying to line up and install bolts. What would have been so much easier would be to have two of the mounting points be studs which could be pre-installed on the winch and then used to hold / suspend the winch in the proper orientation while the other bolts are installed. There is not a lot of room under one of these four-wheelers to manipulate the winch, the bolts, and the mounting bracket slope at the same time. Maybe a minor nit, but it sure was an enormous time consumer getting the winch physically attached to the mounting bracket. Other than that, no complaints and it certainly wouldn't affect whether or not I would recommend the winch. I definitely would. Great product overall.

The Champion winch works well in my raised loft, open bay shed as a lift to raise my tractor in to the shed for repairs and service. I had been using a chain fall, but the winch is so much nicer. I power the winch with the tractor battery and keep it charged with a small 120VAC/12VDC charger which I hope to power soon from a small solar unit if possible. The cable lead lengths are good for this type of alternate use in a shed instead of direct in a vehicle. Mounting was pretty easy with some hardware on hand located at the previously reinforced lifting point used by the chain fall.

I purchased the 4500 lb winch with steel cable, rocker switch and wireless remote. Extreme quality winch. This is my second champion winch (other is 12,000 lb on my truck). Quite a job to install with all the wiring but Champion provides excellent installation instructions for all the wiring. The contractor is even color coded for proper hookups. It comes with really long wires and cables. I shortened all of mine to length for my install and crimped on new terminal ends. This avoids piles of excess wires/cables. The wireless remote is a must - once you use a winch with a wireless remote you will never go without one. I installed one on my 12K truck winch. Makes walking the cable back to hookup really easy. Champion has super customer service. I needed a frame part on the truck winch that did not show on the parts list. The found the part from another winch model and saved me from having to replace the entire motor to get the motor frame mounting plate. They are located in America and speak normal English. All this quality and service for $166. Amazing value. Highly recommended.

I use it on my boat lift. Power it with a lithium Noco GB50. Been working for years. Although had to replace the winch because of vandalism. I get one full lift with a GB50, maybe more. Then I recharge it. Or sometimes I use the boat battery.

Do a lot of snow plowing and this winch seems to fit the bill quite well. It fit in the original mounting bracket and hooks up well. I used the existing switch and solenoid. Seems well built and priced reasonably.

Purchased this 4500 lbs. winch for my Polaris ranger and this thing was not only easy to install but I’m sure this thing could pull a tank!! Packaged very nice and all the parts were included to install that day, since it’s a know good brand it mounted to my Polaris mount using the stock location bolt holes. I would recommend this product to anyone and would buy again! Great job champion

Update 2023 - All of a sudden cannot lift up the snowblade (draws too much current), no problem releasing the blade. I only use the winch in winter and this is the second time it has failed, Not made for winter snowblade lifting. I have a 60" blade on my Honda 450 FE ATV.Update -Cannot lift snow blade load. Draws too much current.My 10 year old Champion gave up the ghost. This one fit exactly, except they change the Plus and Minus terminals 90 degrees. Before the winch terminals were in a horizontal level, but this one the terminals are vertical and the Plus terminal just happens to touch one of the ATV frames, which I had to wrap in electrical tape just to be sure. Works great. Used to lift my 60” plow.Dec 23rd winch works downward but draws way too much current upward and cannot pull up the blade. Will call Champion to see what they say. Less than one year old.
