It took quite some time to arrive, but the product is as good as it always has been. I’ve changed up my makeup routines over the years except for this one ...I can always count on it to cover slight imperfections without any caking or feeling heavy on my skin. I don’t use foundation all over my face (I mean, really, it’s not the 1980’s) but only need something on occasion. This is perfect for those moments.

I’ve used CG products for years, including Simply Powder Foundation in Ivory. I wanted to try out the AquaSmooth in Ivory since I’m aging, and powder foundations look too dry sometimes. It’s a surprisingly great cream makeup for the price! True to its “aqua” name, it feels a bit wet/cool when first applied, but quickly dries to very light and natural finish. This stuff truly just feels like my own skin, no heavy cakey crap at all. Glides over fine lines, and lasts all day. Would work for oily skin, which mine still is sometimes. I would describe the coverage as light to medium, depending how much is applied. Note about CG foundations, they tend to run a bit dark. I have warm-toned skin and in other brands I usually wear the 3rd or 4th lightest shade (think “buff,” “sand,” “light beige”). However, with CG AquaSmooth, Ivory is the lightest shade available and it works for me. It is perhaps a *tad* too light, but just a tad. And I’d rather have that, than a yellow or orange line on my neck where the foundation ends! I don’t expect this 0.4-oz compact to last as long as a larger bottle of liquid foundation, but it’s cheap enough and convenient enough that I don’t mind. Makes my skin look beautiful!
