Great price, very useful
I ordered a few of these for a business trip to China, and ended up giving half of them out to co-workers. The compact size allows the adapter to easily fit in my computer bag with all of my other supplies. One of my co-workers resorted to removing the grounding plug from his computer adapter to fit in the two-prong outlets; personally, I'd much rather keep my power adapter intact. These adapters are plenty sturdy, with nice firm connections on both ends. No loose plugs here. Excellent purchase at this price point.

Reliable, but does not fit into an Australian extension cord
I have been using about eight of these adapters continuously for over a year. Not a single one of them has given me any problems. They fit snugly, they're small, and they're as simple as can be. I've bought several more just to have on hand because they are so useful. My only complaint is the shape of the plastic surround. The square shape is pretty standard for American plugs, but Australian plugs are typically round instead. Australian extension cords have a circular "collar" around the female outlet to protect the prongs should the plug come a bit loose. Unfortunately, because of this adapter's square shape, it does not fit into an Australian extension cord without minor alteration to the extension cord (namely, slots must be cut into the extension cord's collar to make room for the corners of this adapter).

Works in China
I bought this for a friend who used it on a recent three week trip to China. It worked flawlessly and allowed the to charge her laptop computer and iPhone. Please do remember that this device adapts one physical plug to another, it doesn't convert voltages. Don't expect your 110 Volt hair dryer to work for more than a couple seconds before it is destroyed, or a circuit breaker trips, at 220 Volts in China.A large number of electronic devices have power supplies which work worldwide on different voltages and frequencies, just read the notes on the device. Most items with motors or heating elements don't work worldwide; read their directions and the notes on the device very carefully before you attempt to use them outside of the country where they are sold.

Worked as expected
We used 3 of these adapters in Argentina using US devices. Everything worked fine: we charged cell phones, 1 laptop, 1 tablet, camera batteries etc. No issues using those. They look and feel reasonably sturdy. Have used them for a week only, cannot comment on long term reliability. As a side note not related to those adapters (as far as I know): I thought it would be smart to bring a US multi-outlet with us to plug on one of those adapters, to get even more recharge options (we have many electronic devices). It did not work as expected. As soon as the multi-outlet got switched on, the apartment fuse would short. Anyway, again, using those adapters straight with the device to be plugged in worked perfectly fine, you may just have to get several of them ...

Cheap and effective
I spent a few months in Sydney a couple years ago and snagged a few of these before departure. Truth be told, I ended up buying more than I needed - but they're so cheap it wasn't a big deal. They did exactly what I expected of them and I'd have no reservations about recommending them to others.I gave two to a friend who was moving to Australia for a bit, and I keep one in my go-bag at all times.

Well made and works as intended
Works as intended and made well. This was purchased for a trip to South America and I was glad i had it at the hotel.

Poor design
I purchased three of these adaptors specifically because they have a relatively low profile and they're earthed. The reviews also seemed favourable. However, anything that's plugged in to them is really loose, and it either falls out or leaves the plug's prongs exposed. The plugs I'm using are standard US 2 pin and UK 3 pin, and they work fine with all my other adaptors. At first I thought it was just the one adaptor, but all 3 are like this. The adaptors still work OK, but the plug should be gripped tight and not just sitting there.I could probably bend the copper clips inside each slot so it grips better, but I will just return them and buy another brand. Also, the earth prong on the adaptor is longer and wider than the live and neutral prongs. That means it won't work with some power points/double adaptors etc.Plugs in Australia usually have the earth prong a bit longer, but never wider like this. It's almost double the thickness of the other 2, and I really have no idea why they made them like this.I'm dumbfounded, how hard is it to make such a simple device?G'Day from Australia.

Does the job
These are universal plug adaptors for US to Australia (I have only used in them in Australia with predominately US electronics.) However, they are a little on the cheap side. Depending on what you are plugging in-they may spark a little even if you are using a smart charger/converter.I ordered four of these adaptors, and at least one prong on two of the chargers is wobbly or lose. These work in a pinch and are much less expensive than the adaptors you can find in most places in AU-but there are higher quality adapters out there.UPDATE: After using a few of these adaptors for 6+ months, two of them have managed to blow out single outlets on three different power strips I have purchased. After checking voltages, and using much more expensive adaptors (and taking an Australian testing/tagging course) I can safely say it was these adaptors that caused the power strip to malfunction. I still give it a two-star rating because they are decent for the price-but be careful when using them especially in a power strip.
