You'll want some good noise-cancelling headphones if you plan to push it to its limits. I personally use this with my 16-inch Lenovo Legion 7i, and it's a perfect fit for the cooler's generous top surface. It does an excellent job of keeping the laptop cool, which is vital for reducing the strain on the laptop's internal fans and, perhaps more importantly, preventing dust from being sucked up into the bottom vents and clogging the system. In my opinion, dust accumulation is one of the biggest long-term cooling problems for gaming laptops, and the Llano's "air chamber" design seems particularly effective at mitigating this. When I'm gaming, I typically find my sweet spot between 300-600 RPM. This range provides a great balance of effective airflow without the fan drowning out the game's audio. At these speeds, the sound is not unpleasant and is easily negligible over game speakers – my partner and I barely notice it. This makes it comfortable for extended gaming sessions without needing headphones purely for noise mitigation. Overall, while this is a pricier cooling pad, I believe it's absolutely worth the investment if you're looking for something truly efficient. This llano cooler is great, by far the best one I've used. I mostly use it on the lowest setting (300), ramping up the fans when I want to bring my System/CPU/GPU temps down, which I monitor with HWINFO and overlays. I can really see the temperatures drop down and stay steady, which allows my laptop to perform at higher clock speeds for longer. My laptop fans themselves can spin up to >5k rpm but with the cooler on and loads running on the computer, I don't see them going above 2,500RPM. Another benefit I am finding or rather feeling, is that between the keyboard and touchpad area on my laptop are no longer burning hot to the touch. The fan noise with my laptop on top does not bother me on the lower settings, it acts as white noise to me. The clamping system at the front to hook the laptop down is great too, I like that. With higher fan speeds, of course there is more noise, but really I don't need to use this cooler past a third of its potential output to get temperature drops and performance gains with which I am happy about. Its nice that it has so much headway for more cooling performance. The first product I received I noticed a ticking sound at low RPMs, which I didn't find mentioned in online reviews / video reviews. The performance was still fantastic but the noise was annoying. I spoke with support and they sent me a new one out, which I received today, and the noise is no longer, except the white noise of lower fan speeds(to me). Overall super happy with the cooler and the support from llano.

This cooling pad is of fantastic quality. It can fit easily under the vast majority of laptops, helping to keep them cool, especially during the summer. It has a roller which allows you to select your preferred speed of the fan from 300 RPM - 2800 RPM. You should note that the faster the fan, the louder it will be. The fans definitely help add to the comfort in using your laptop during those hot days, especially gaming laptops which tend to get very hot. As well as the ability to choose the fan speed, there is also the option to choose from different coloured LEDs around the fan base. You can have a solid cyan, solid green, solid red or flashing cyan, flashing, green, flashing red, etc. This adds a bit of 'coolness' to your gaming area instead of just having a massive black pad under your laptop. Would I save this is 'value for money'? Well compared to my previous cooling pad which was just a set of three small fans which barely did anything, yes it 100% is. It costs a bit, but it is worth it.

Keeps laptop cool while gaming as my laptop overheats and freezes then crashes completely. Thus stopped all that from happened. If a bit sound when on full. If on your lap advise a cushion as you will get cold. It is a bit pricey but is good quality buy once and keep. 1 small thing the cable could be longer.

In my experience it doesn't work. It made no difference to the temperature of a 2024 Gigabyte G5 KF5 Laptop CPU temp or the GPU temp. For its cost, it's not worth it. It's made of cheap plastic with a cheap plastic fan that on full speed will have your neighbours complaining, it's VERY loud! It HAS to be mains powered and the included lead is short which begins to defeat the purpose of a laptop all together as now you have to sit within 1.5 meters of a power socket! If you want a laptop cooler, buy a cheaper one as it will provide the same level of cooling which is none!

I cannot recommend this cooling pad enough! Before using it, my Acer Predator Helios 300 with an i7-12700H and RTX 3070 Ti (150W) was constantly hitting 90-95°C, with 100% CPU utilization and major thermal throttling. The CPU would struggle at 2.7GHz, making performance inconsistent. After getting this amazing cooling pad, everything changed! The CPU now maxes out at only 80°C and boosts consistently to 4.3GHz or higher, never dropping below 4GHz. No more throttling whatsoever! The GPU also runs cooler and more efficiently, allowing me to overclock it from 1400MHz to over 1800MHz while keeping temperatures stable around 70°C. This cooling pad has unlocked the full potential of my laptop, ensuring smooth performance in even the most demanding games and workloads. If you have a high-performance gaming laptop and are struggling with overheating, this is an absolute must-have! 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
