Heals my blemishes
I have dry, mature, sensitive skin with an oily t-zone, and the occasional blemish, even at 60. I have very smooth skin, few wrinkles. But my skin can get profoundly dry. I have found K-beauty products agree with my skin best. They are great at using nature based, gentle, but potently effective ingredients we don't usually see in US skin care. They really hydrate my skin, better than thick creams alone. Centella asiatica, aka cica, is one of them. It has wound healing properties, and in skincare, it is soothing, hydrating, skin barrier repairing, and calming to sensitive skin. I usually keep a centella ampoule around. I swear by it. But I ran out recently, and in the meantime learned that madecassoside is the active ingredient in centella. And ampoule strength means this is a highly concentrated formula. I had heard good things, so decided to give it a try. If a centella ampoule is good, this should be better right? One of the things I noticed the first time I applied this was a slight warming on my skin. I could feel the potency. I find I reach for this when I have a pop up blemish. I dab some of this directly on, and it begins shrinking dramatically within hours. Just gentle and effective without any drying or flaking. I think I'll still reach for centella ampoule for daily use, to help with my very dry and somewhat sensitive skin. But for an added boost to shrink a blemish, this is the one I reach for. It works for me! Enjoy :)

Calming hydrating serum
I've been really enjoying this serum and works well on my oily skin. This is very light watery toner like serum that absorbs quickly. I do have to use a whole dropper full because it sinks into my skin so quickly. It's mildly hydrating and soothes irritation that pops up around my nose and cheeks. There's is no scent and is truly fragrance-free, it's not sticky at all but if you layer it, it can get a bit of tackiness. It's too early to see any difference in my redness but so far it makes my skin look plump and fresh. If you are sensitive and also dry, this would work as a toner/essence and then follow up with a serum and moisturizer.

Not sure about this yet
I don’t know if I’m 100% thrilled with this. It is still my first bottle and I’m about halfway through but I do use it every day with no real results notice but I will continue to use it and see what happens.

HORRIBLE Change/Update in Formula; No Longer Buying as of 2023/2024
Agree with other reviewers saying that the updated formula/packaging really ruined this product. I have no idea what they changed with the ingredients, but the new version severely irritated my skin like crazy. I used the old version daily and it always soothed my skin. I have no idea why companies think that by cheapening their product for the worse, while keeping the same price would be good business. I’m no longer purchasing this, and am on the hunt for better calming serums/ampoules.

Facial Serum
A'PIEU Madecassoside Testrasome Cica Ampoule comes in a glass jar with a bulb applicator. My skin is sensitive and this serum made my skin feel a little itchy and left my face feeling a bit sticky. This is a Korean Beauty product and it is unscented. This serum states that it will cool your skin down and I plan to try this again when the weather is warmer and we aren't in our cold winter season.

Excellent lightweight serum for sensitive skin
Apieu is one of my favorite brands for sunscreen as their formula is one of the few that consistently works for me without breaking me out, but this is the first serum I’ve tried from the brand. They are known for more affordable cosmetics, but this is a little higher priced than some of their other items. I have had mostly good experiences with centella/cica, and this is no exception. I started using it after having a oretty bad breakout from a different skincare product that didn’t work well for me, and it helped clear my face after about 3 days of use, twice a day. It is suitable for sensitive skin and has no fragrance. The formula is on the lightweight side, and it does sink into skin quickly without leaving any sticky residue, making it good for use in the morning underneath sunscreen and makeup. After about a week of use, I noticed my skin tone looked more even and my pres seemed less noticable. I did not get any breakouts or irritation from using it. Because it is on the lighter side hydration wise, I would recommend using it alongside a moisturizer if you have dry skin.

Aggravated my rosacea
Since I have mature skin and have rosacea, I am very careful when ordering a skincare product. I ordered this one because it has an ingredient, cica, which is calming my rosacea skin. I have never used this product before but it claims on the description that it calms the skin which was shown on their clinical studies. First impressions: It is a little bit sticky and doesn't absorb quickly. It leaves a sticky film and I didn't feel like my skin was moisturized. After a couple of days, I realized that my rosacea was aggravated. I thought it might be related to something else and kept using this product with '0' improvement. After a week of daily use, I discontinued the product. If you have sensitive skin like mine, I don't suggest this product.
