I used it for my field work. I works great and can pick up good sound. Very easy to use and easy to transfer data. I didn't expect it to be this functional. It came with a sturdy case. I've dropped it a few times while in the case... Keeps going and going.

This little recorder totally astounded me and it not only met but surpassed my expectations and needs. It truly picks up, records, and plays back voices with exceptional quality. I bought it strictly for voice recordings, meetings, and events and am very well pleased. It was so easy to use as soon as I opened the box. There are more settings than I am sure I will ever need; however, if and when I need them, they are there. Highly recommend this Sony digital recorder.

I've been using this recorder for over a year, mainly for ideas I randomly get for social media posting. I use it all the time and it's been very reliable. I went through three off-brand recorders, none of which lasted more than 3 months. Tip: I use a 64 GB card and the recorder will run all day on a full charge (14+ hrs), however when using a 256 GB card, the battery dies in about 10 hours. Also DONT GET WET! I had to purchase a second identical recorder after my first one was dropped in a puddle, a year ago.

You can create different folders for different applications, such as recording conversations, and recording music. Unfortunately, the settings are global, not for specific folders. So, if you want to switch between recording music, and recording conversations, you would have to switch folders you have set up, and then change all the settings, because they don’t stay with the folder. Pretty lame. Would have been amazing if folders had their own settings. Everything else works pretty well. The hold button doesn’t prevent it from turning itself on when plugged into to charge, so you have to plug it in, and then turn it off.

I am recording conversations with my two grandsons -- 17 and 14 -- for inclusion in our family history documents. I plan to have such conversations with them from time to time until I'm gone (I'm 80). This recorder is convenient, easy to use, and picks up normal conversations perfectly. My one complaint -- and this is my fault -- I did not realize that it is rechargeable, user does not replace the batteries. When it needs to be charged, there's a USB plug that pushes out of the end, plug into a computer, let it charge for hour or so. This is fine provided the user remembers to charge it before use. I prefer batteries that I can change; I always have AA or AAA handy. Otherwise, it's great.

I needed this for lectures and this has great recording quality! It’s just what I needed.

This recorder is super sensitive to sound. I am using it for research interviews and it is really good at picking up conversation even in a noisy space . Very happy

Es una grabadora muy compacta y fácil de usar. La calidad de los dos micrófonos integrados también es muy decente, pero cuenta con un puerto mini jack para conectar un micrófono externo como un lavalier en caso de que no quieras utilizar los de la grabadora. En el formato LPCM que es el más pesado y de mejor calidad, te da apoximadamente 4 horas y media de grabación. Con los formatos MP3 te da muchas más horas con los 4GB de memoria interna. En caso de que necesites más memoria puedes agregarle una micro SD. Tambien tiene varias opciones de sensibilidad, la verdad es que en la sensibilidad baja y media es más que suficiente en ambientes de poco ruido, se escucha fuerte y claro sin necesidad de tener la grabadora muy cerca de la boca y capta menos ruido de fondo que un teléfono celular. Yo agarre esta grabadora en oferta alrededor de $1500, yo les recomiendo que se esperen a que la pongan en oferta ya que normalmente en Amazon esta en mas de $2000
