Much better than string floss, though the design has a few quirks.
This is a massive upgrade from string floss for my gum health. It cleans effectively and holds enough water for a full session, though the physical design has a minor hygiene trap you need to watch out for. Pros: Effective Quad Stream tip: I’ve stuck with the included "Quad Stream" nozzle and found it does an excellent job pushing water between tight teeth. It feels much less harmful to my gums than traditional floss. One tank is enough: The 250ml reservoir holds a decent amount of water. In practice, I find I can get a full clean done on a single fill without needing to stop and top it up. Convenient USB-C charging: A major practical plus is the USB-C port. Instead of being tethered to a shaver socket in the bathroom, I can just use the phone cables I already have on my bedside table. Cons: Hygiene trap in the seam: There is a thin seam where the top of the unit (the nozzle attachment point) meets the main body. Water tends to sit in this gap, and I’ve noticed it turning mouldy/dirty over time if not scrubbed out. Button placement: Depending on how you hold the unit, your thumb might naturally hover over the controls. I sometimes accidentally knock the power button mid-floss, which restarts the program. I bought this primarily because I wanted a more convenient alternative to string floss that wouldn't irritate my gums. In terms of performance, it has been excellent. The device is generally easy to hold and manoeuvre around the mouth, and the pressure is strong enough to clear debris from tight gaps without causing bleeding. However, living with it for a while revealed a couple of design oversights. While the handle is comfortable, the button placement means I occasionally reset the device while trying to reach back teeth. More annoyingly, the build-up of grime in the top seam is a bit of a pain; you have to keep an eye on it to stop it from getting gross. If you find string flossing a chore or too harsh on your gums, this is a fantastic alternative that fits easily into a modern routine (especially thanks to USB-C charging). Just be prepared to give the top seam a scrub now and then to keep it clean.

Made flossing no longer a chore
Regular floss just doesn't work for me - threads get caught, it feels fiddly, and I’d usually skip it. This Philips oral irrigator changed that. It doesn’t snag, is dead easy to use, and somehow turns what used to be a chore into something I actually stick with. For me, it’s the difference between flossing or not. The device itself feels solid and well-built. The water reservoir is generous enough to do all my teeth in one go, and the range of power settings and modes gives me control depending on how thorough I want to be. I also like that it comes with two different heads - I can pick the one that suits how I’m feeling that day. Battery life has been excellent; after a year of use, I’ve only needed to charge it a couple of times, which keeps the routine low maintenance. I feel like my teeth are noticeably cleaner now, and it's especially useful for those times where you get something stuck in your teeth. Overall, it’s done exactly what I needed it to: replaced a frustrating part of my dental care with something reliable and simple to keep up. In this sense, and the fact it’s the most reliable water flosser I’ve had thus far, the value for money has been very good.

Good effective product
This is a good water flosser that provides a good clean of the gums. It works differently to the previous iteration of the Philips Sonicare water flosser which provided more of a forceful shot of water whereas this gives a constant stream. The water tank is quite large which make it tricky to hold for people with smaller hands especially if it is wet. The charging port is type USB-A but comes with a plug that works in a razor socket. Overall happy with the clean this provides and will see how it lasts.

Easy to use
Does what it promises. I have fixed retainer and can’t floss in between certain teeth. Interdental floss always makes my gum bleed. This product helps me to keep in top of my teeth hygiene without harm to my gums.

Good truth floss.
I always had difficulty with flossing my teeth and this water floss is excellent. It’s amazing how much food gets stuck in your teeth and this floss certainly gets them out. The water pressure has three settings and you certainly feel your teeth have been cleaned after using it. It was good value for money.

Proprietary charger. No USB-C as claimed.
Why did you choose this product over others?: I chose this product over others because the description states that it can be charged with a USB-C cable – ‘the same connection as most mobile phones or tablets’. But it can’t; the device charges via a propriety cable. This means another cable to lie around, another cable to lose, and if you lose the cable you can’t charge the device. Several other people have noted that the description is wrong. Why has it not been updated? Can’t review any other aspects as it’s going straight back.

Best of the bunch
I previously had the cordless water pick and this is a good upgrade in terms of quality, feel and performance. I would say the highest of three water pressure settings is also higher pressure than the water pick, I normally keep it on the second. Battery life is also fantastic.

Designed to fail after one year of usage
Worked well for a year but just in time for its anniversary it now stopped working properly. Simply turns off after a few seconds and needs a lot of encouragement to turn on again only to turn itself off after a second or two. Very annoying. I guess it now goes to the electronic tip for recycling. What I liked is the large water tank and the powerful stream. Long battery live was a plus. Doesn't have USB-C charging port which I think is a must have these days. Already found a much cheaper replacement and won't go for the same model again.

Comes with a plug (2 pin) not suitable for Ireland. Purchasing on Amazon.ie you would expect the correct plug to be included. Very disappointing.

The charging cable comes with… a two pin Euro plug. Is it too much to expect a product bought on the Amazon IE site to come with a three pin plug?

Advertised as being charged via USB-C cable, but the model I got had a figure-8 charging port, which means if you lose the lead, the product is useless.
