Brilliant Activities for Reading Comprehension, Year 6 (2nd edition): Engaging Stories and Activities to Develop Comprehension Skills

It will be useful and I like the fact that it has 32 different texts including poetry. However, the cover was bent back on itself on arrival (carelessly stuffed in the envelope), so I deducted one star. But the product itself is perfect for my needs (working towards 11+ exams)

Very useful book. I was looking for some interesting comprehension activities for my Year 6 class and this has been a great help. On each page there is a list of key vocabulary/new terminology for the children to research.This is a great feature to aid reading and understanding of new words :!

A good variety of comprehensions. I am a year 6 teacher and use these with my booster group. There is also useful word definition work - a very useful resource.

Good texts. Challenging

I use this to develop my students' understanding of a variety of texts and to develop their ability to give opinions backed up by the texts. The texts themselves are attention-grabbing and the questions range from simple to challenging. We are all enjoying this resource.

Really pushes the more able with more complicated texts and styles of writing.
