This is my first purchase with this seller and was purchasing it from another seller that is no longer a Opal Authorized Dealer. I did verify that this seller is a Authorized so I felt good about the purchase. I will update post if I feel indifferent as I know exactly what to expect from 35%. I have used a few other brands of this type of whitening gel with very little results. Opal is the way if you want the White Smile of your Dreams! No, I was NOT paid to post this review OR given ANYTHING. I am just here to help YOU decide if this is right for you. Ive been using this for 1.5 years now and love my Crayola White Smile!!! It takes a little while to find your sweet spot but there are ways and techniques that professionals cant even tell you how to use it. I feel each person is unique to their tolerance with this product, and only you can learn that by adjusting a little at a time. First word of advice is go to your Dentist/Ortho and get a dental impression of your teeth. I use my retainers that I have from my Ortho. Point is these are syringe REFILL kits, they do NOT come with trays. To be honest you will be better off spending a little money for custom trays that are the exact mold of your mouth/teeth. You will use WAY LESS of this product and it will save you a LOT of money, trust me. I started using the 20% for about 1-2 months then changed to 35% and have been using it now for over a year. Now that I have the White Smile I always dreamed of I only have to maintain about once a week but you could get by with once a month. Now while whitening you must know your diet has to change when you are whitening. You cant whiten your teeth and start drinking coffee, soda and anything deep colored for a few days after (I suggest 3 at minimum). You cannot have great results if you don't change your diet while doing this. This stuff is 100% real and 100% effective if you do it CORRECTLY!!! Another hint, start off slow and low. 20% for an hour or so, wash off and see how you feel (sensitivity) the next day or two. If its not bad wait a few days and do 1.5 hours. After you get somewhat adjusted to how it works and where your sensitivity level is then you can try the 35% but again slow and low. The 35% is pretty strong and can make your teeth sensitive for about 2-3 days if you wear it as long as I do. Be patient....change your diet while whitening....and gauge your tolerance...then STICK with the plan that suits you and your teeth until you get the white you want, then kick back and maintain it. I like to stick to once a week maintain but again that is 100% up to you. Lastly, don't come on here giving bad reviews because you didnt see a change in your teeth in a week or two. You didnt get stained or darker teeth in 1-2 weeks don't expect this stuff to change it in that time frame either! The last word of advice is....YES your teeth will be sensitive. Yes you will get gum burn every now and then (white spots on gums that sting) but your gums will go back to its normal color once you clean off the gel and brush your teeth. Don't panic, its NOT gonna kill you! This is another reason you should use custom trays. With custom trays you can apply a small amount to each tooth impression and you will have less gel get on your gum line. Even then I still put a tad too much and I will get the gum burn, its just gonna happen. If you are not willing to sacrifice your diet on the days you whiten, willing to understand your teeth will be sensitive for a few days after, willing to know you will have gum burn incidents then simply save your money and time. No Pain No Gain! Wish I could help you more without dragging this out but trust me if you truly want that white beautiful smile Opal is the way!

I love this whitening gel! I've been using it for a couple of years now, and it's very effective. I had whitened my teeth with a product from the dentist before (so I wasn't starting from scratch with really yellow teeth!), but of course the color had dulled over time (thank you, red wine and coffee!). I ordered Opal and could tell a difference after the first use! At this point, I use the gel a couple of times a month (red wine and coffee stains), and it keeps my teeth nice and bright. I have no doubt that if I used it for several days in a row, I could get my teeth even whiter, but I like the color they are (they're not "fake white"), and I get frequent compliments on my white teeth. I have custom trays made by the dentist, so the fit is exact and snug. I put in the gel and keep the trays in for an hour. I have a blue light "activator" that I'll use for 20 min or so -- I don't know if it helps or not, but I had it (from another whitening product) and thought I'd use it just in case it makes a difference. The gel is thick and doesn't ooze out like some of them tend to do. The best part is that I have NO GUM SENSITIVITY! I've used other products (including one from the dentist) that resulted in highly sensitive gums for a day or two. This product is great because there is no discomfort -- if I want to use it two days in a row (before an event, for example), I can.

This is one of the best OTC whitening products I’ve found. I use it when I see stains on my teeth and this stuff works great. I recommend!

Worked very well! I was skeptical. My dentist had recommended this product versus us doing it in the office. The first few times I used it, the sensitivity to cold made me scream a few times. My mouth was closed and yet I was walking around New York City in the cold with my teeth killing me. However, after the first few times, that did go away. Eight and a half months later, my teeth are still just as white. Very impressed with the product and still have two tubes left over (tiny teeth!) for this year.

I always use this to whiten my teeth and get a lot of compliments on how white my teeth are. Follow directions closely!!!

This packs a lot of power in whitening. That being said - be careful. If you ever want to chew your food again and not live on liquids, or resort to foods that can only be consumed through a straw at room temperature, use this sparingly. I really like the quickness of the process but beware, this speed comes at a cost. Use only for 5 minutes the first time. Second time, ten minutes. I went all in and did it for 15 minutes and did I regret it. I felt like my teeth were going to fall out. I couldn’t even chew gum or sleep with the throbbing pain. It stings and I am tough. 10 minutes max and you should be okay. It’s amazing and really works fast. You don’t need a lot of time so don’t exceed the recommended amount of time on your teeth.

Product does work well and I’ve used it for years; however, Opalescence has reduced the amount in each vile by a very considerable amount. I used to be able to use each vile 3 times. Now I’m lucky if I get 2 times - it’s more like 1 time and a tiny bit left for next time. Not worth the money. I use another brand now.
