This is a great mechanical keyboard for anyone who's interested in jumping into the hobby, and while it may not have fancy features, it's a value-packed entry point. The main benefit of this keyboard are the smooth pre-lubed Kailh linear switches that come pre-installed, they're quite easy to type on and can even be swapped out with different switches of your choice later on. Decent double-shot PBT keycaps are also included, giving you a durable and comfortable set of keycaps to use. With the bright north-facing LED backlighting that can be cycled through different patterns, you can also switch out your keycaps with a shine-through set to make the most of it. Lastly, the keyboard just sounds good out of the box, keystrokes are very smooth, and the large keys are well-stabilized with pre-lubed clip-in stabilizers for added smoothness. On to what I'm not the biggest fan of, and it's that this keyboard isn't wireless. It would have been an incredible addition, but at this price point, it's not that big of a deal as long as you're staying in one place. While the keyboard sounds great out of the box, it may require some modification to sound the way you want. On that note, modifying the keyboard (adding foam, tape-modding, etc.) might take quite some effort, as the case is secured with clips between the top and bottom halves of the case instead of screws. Overall, this is a great starting point for anyone looking for their first mechanical keyboard that might last them a while. It opens up a ton of possibilities for customization and modification at a great price! I absolutely recommend getting the M2 to try things out at a great price point!
