It works!
Very nice product. Plug in, switch on, it works. Nice to have the option on this unit to send the audio up the HDMI cable so the TV can play the sound without any extra connectors. If you'd rather have the sound coming out of the laptop or going into headphones - that's no problem either, just leave the dongle's audio cable unconnected. Plenty of cable on the audio and USB connector too, they haven't skimped. Super-impressed with the picture as well, flawlessly displayed on my 4K LG OLED TV. Really wanted this product so we can view family on the Skype screen via the big TV screen instead of just on the laptop, this is perfect for lockdown meetings!

Does the job for older devices and for audio into hdmi
Bought it so I could hook older computers to a hdmi monitor with audio.It worked well on a hp laptop to a dell XPS monitor with a soundbar.Does the 640*480 at multiple refresh rates so well pleased.Shame it needs a usb port to power this.

Worked very well with Windows 7 but not with older versions, eg Windows ME.
Windows 7 was a plug and play. No problems what so ever. With the older Windows, it was a blank screen. I originally thought I had broken it but when I tried the newer computer, it worked perfectly.

Fiddily to start with, but once you know what this thing can do? it's incredible!
Let me start by saying, at first I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this item. I'd read reports that it doesn't display 'full' screen, or only showing 'blank' screens. And for anyone having those issues, please read on.My video card decided to pack up and to replace it was going to cost in the region of £80. just to watch TV on the big screen. Luckily I saw this cable.There are a few hoops to jump through at first with this cable, but the instructions are there as clear as day (Who reads instructions. right?)1) Make sure before connecting this lead for the first time, you bring the computer's display resolution down to something like 1024 x 768 (as too high will cause a blank screen)2) You must use the USB part of the cable as well as the HDMI connector, as that is what supplies it's power.3) I found after setting it up, a great idea was to play the TV at regular volume then switch to HDMI and match the volume of the computer to that, so there is not likely to be a rush to lower the volume of either the TV or computer when switching between them.4) For people who find after connecting you only have a squashed picture, either sides or top/bottom, look on your TV remote for the optional picture settings. 4x3/16x9/ zoom or extreme zoom. The best one for me was the last option 'Full' as the entire picture fitted exactly like a monitor should, but play about with those settings to find the one that suits you best.Lastly, I spent a day or so switching back and fourth between monitor and tv to learn all I needed to and I would recommend a couple of hours doing that so you'll be able to connect it in your sleep in future, and know it will work every time.I'm really happy with it.

Works but has problems
The unit works well when connected directly to a monitor but i have tried 4 different HDMI switches so i could choose pc or receiver but none would recognise this lead.

Clear sharp image
Not really into writing reviews too much, but quick comment that this is an excellent product. I have a DELL which 360 and a monitor that is HDMI and blue D-PIN (VGA) The blue D-PIN (VGA) stopped working, so I bought this to see if it would work and it worked. I read the review by someone who explained it quite well, He sounded convince and now I am convince. So I can keep my DELL and my 32 inch Panasonic TV that I use as a monitor. If you looking for the same solution then take this one its good.

A must have cable.
Was I pleased to see this turn up. After trying and returning different cables that were recommended to me in shops I still couldn't get my pc on the small lg smart tv that I bought as tv/moniterI googled it and found a video posted by an Indian man on YouTube showing how to connect an old pc to a new smart tv. He showed the exact cable that I needed a vga audio converter to hdmi.The cable arrived and after one week of no Netflix or pc on the screen bingo it worked.There was not one to be sourced anywhere in Jersey.So thank you to this company on amazon and also to the Indian man for his video.One very happy customer.

Me encanto, nonse mueve la imagen excente. Anteriormente tenia una adapatord vga a hdmi con un cable hdmi largo pero si se movia un poquito ya no daba imagen. Esta opcion me encanto

Cavo da VGA a HDMI
È stato difficile trovarlo, e una volta trovato non mi ha deluso per niente, risoluzione massima 1080p a 60hz

super produit j'ai acheter plusieurs cordon sans résultat alors que celui fonctionne a merveille aussi bien pour la qualité de l'image comme pour le son je vous le recommande vivement attention bien vérifier le sans VGA vers HDMI rapport qualité prix imbattable a voir le fonctionnement dans de temps ?
