Works great on my older model studio apartment size gas range, all 4 burners are the same size and this kettle fits solidly on the burners. Heats quickly, been using this a couple of weeks to heat water for my pour over coffee each morning. Love the gooseneck,simplifies poring over coffee for sure. I like the silver, looks nice on my stove top. Very pleased!

This kettle is ever IDEAL for making pour-over coffee, french press coffee, traditional methods of making Japanese tea in the traditional & modern "kyusu", or Bee House SLS teapots. Care should be taken when using the Chefbar Gooseneck Kettle to pour hot water INTO ANY BLOWN-GLASS kettle such Primula or Hario ALSO SHOW CAUTION when using CHEFBAR KETTLE in POURIN. HOT H20 INTO a porcelain, glass, ceramic or enamel teacup (so as AVOID CHIPPING or CRACKING your China or glassware with this metal Chefbar Kettle by making contact with fragile items). The construction of this kettle is VERY sound! This kettle is a small but sturdy. Daily cleaning is a breeze. Clean or wipe dry (interior & exterior) after EVERY USE with soft cotton cloth (IF you see NO sediment or residue present on the interior of the kettle). Otherwise follow manufacturer's guidelines for proper cleaning & removal of sediment/residue. This kettle should last decades if treated accordingly (DO NOT DROP it or clean with harsh abrasives). If you have hard H20 you may use white distilled vinegar (add 1/4 cup vinegar 1 cup of boiled water & let stand 1- 2 hours then discard solution & wipe inside of kettle with soft cotton cloth, rinse well w/clean cold water & wipe dry - repeat process -- ONLY if need be) to clean residue & sediment on the INTERIOR (NOTE: only on occassion when necessary) - Bon Ami Cleanser is ideal to cleanse the EXTERIOR with a soft sponge & then RINSE WELL with fresh water. This little powerhouse of a teapot is exactly what I needed. I'm not a tea drinker, but I love hot oatmeal with fruit or ramen soup, especially during these frigid winter months. Boiling water in a saucepan only made a frustrating mess :( I love how this sleek-looking teapot with its goose-neck pour over spout eliminates that. It's amazing how quickly the cold water from my fridge comes to a rapid boil and the gentle whistle gets me closer to my treat. It is durable enough to take camping, but that's best left for the warmth of summer. This shiny silver gem has pride of place in my space.

Excellent tea kettle, especially if you enjoy making pour over coffee. Or just need an easy hot water pour with more control. It heats up water incredibly fast, so I’ve never had to listen for a whistle. Great for the price!

I don't have to heat up a lot of water at once, so this kettle is perfect for me. It doesn't whistle, so stay close when I'm heating water. I like the way it pours. Sometimes, for drama I hold it a foot or so above my French press while pouring. It's easy to fill and clean. The lid stays on. It has holes in it, so I position them to the side -- probably not necessary. When steam comes out of them, I know my water is hot. Also, there's a sound that boiling water makes. I've used it almost every day for 6-7 months. It still looks new. Every so often I use a soapy sponge on it and rinse it off. I would buy again.

I mostly use this to make my pour over coffee. The size and narrow spout are just right.
