SunBrite SE 43-inch Partial Sun Outdoor TV | 4K Ultra HD LED Weatherproof Television - Includes Speaker bar (SB-SE-43-4K-BL)

Excellent picture and good sound quality from the included soundbar (at least for my application; a pool enclosure a.k.a. echo chamber :-). Plenty of undistorted volume. I just added a ROKU TV Stick to it for about $60 and voila, it's now a smart TV. The ROKU stick fit just fine in the weatherproof media cabinet and the USB port in that cabinet powers it just fine. The ROKU Remote Control (at least the RF functionality) works fine for all ROKU functions up to at least 40 feet away (as far as I tested it). However, like the SunBrite included remote (which is IR) the ROKU Remote's TV Power on/off and TV Volume up/down (also IR) do not work in partial sunlight at all unless the remote is within 1 or 2 feet of the TV's IR receiver. Very disappointing that SunBrite did not make their remote RF instead of IR knowing it would be used outdoors where favorable signal to noise ratio in the IR band will be difficult to achieve. However, everything else is great! In very bright conditions I can still see a very good picture with very little glare and very little to no unwanted reflections from about 40 feet away. If it weren't for the IR remote functions I definitely would have given it 5 stars. UPDATE June 2019: Thought I could live with the remote control problem but after awhile I got fed up and called SunBrite tech support and lo and behold, they had a zero cost solution for it. The problem is with the LOGO sticker over the remote control receiver sensor window where the clear material severely degrades the signal. Once they sent me the new sticker and I replaced the old one (took about a minute), VOILA the remote now works from up to 20 feet away. Problem solved, therefore I upgraded my rating to 5 stars.

We Absolutely love the Sunbrite SE 43”. Picture quality and sound are great. We have the TV mounted in mostly shade with about 1 hr of sunlight per day and there is never any glare. Initially we had purchased The Sunbrite Veranda and had an awful experience. The Veranda has horrible sound and awful glare in the shade from just a few Small rays of ambient sunlight. The SE is the polar opposite - powerful sound for an outdoor TV and great picture in daylight or at night. Overall, extremely satisfied with the purchase! Now we just have to figure out how to keep our Roku from overheating.

Terrible is not stong enough....read this thread....TV out Again....lets see multiple TVS, multiple remotes, on sight service call and still doesn't work....I want my money back.... After all the problems I have had, they then said I was one month out of warranty. who knows with all the problems....they miserably screwed up getting the part shipped, then after never getting it like promised and calling again, it got shipped.....weeks after promised.....3rd party company took my call and gave wonderful responsive services and quickly installed the replacement part.....well part apparently a piece of junk as its not working now either....TV will not come on.....Ridiculous.....I know of no other product/company in my lifetime that is so poor Had previous Sunbrite TV for nearly 10 years and no problems..did refresh on outdoor kitchen and the new Sunbrite is Junk....Have had two remotes with the first that came with the set not working at all and the replacement they sent working for a short while...Only way to turn TV on is with an 8' step ladder...want my money back …..Picture and TV seem great if your are willing to climb a ladder to do anything but not what I intended....I deleted my review after Sunbrite sent me a new remote overnight but after two, it stays..... UPDATE one year later and the replacement TV they sent is dead....will Sunbrite step up? I was still having problems in JULY last year.....

The TV is very well made/sturdy. All cables are hidden and protected from elements. We have it on a stand that swivels. Our old TV picked up glare from the sun. This TV does not and the picture is extremely clear. We are very pleased! The TV was very easy to set up, but we did have an issue pairing our remote (we use the one from our Service Provider). The Service Provider did not recognize the brand and weren't able to help. We reached out to Sun Brite and someone got back to us IMMEDIATELY and corrected that issue. Nothing bad to say! Worth the money.
