Nice pencil - needs to connect with cable for initial pairing
This works well, but the setup was more challenging than other apple devices.Pros: so far this works really well. The sensitivity is good and accurate on the screen, the battery life seems to hold well. It’s easy to hold - same size and about the same weight as a pencil. Once connected, it stays connected well.Cons: so - I figured it out eventually with some googling. But - the back of the box says to pair and charge with the usb-c cable. Which would be fine, EXCEPT - this says it’s compatible with iPad Air gen 4, which only has a usb-c connector. So what you need is a usb-c to usb-c connector to pair the pencil for the first time. What the box comes with is a usb to usb-c cable. So either you need a dongle to connect to your iPad or you need your own cable. Since it didn’t have the cable included like most of the Apple products do, I spent way too much time trying to pair the pencil with the iPad through the magnetic connection on the side. Which only works after you have connected it with the cable for the first time. The included papers/instructions are too small to really read so Google is your friend here. Hope this helps someone else to get started!

Seamless Writing and Drawing Experience for USB-C iPads
I’ve been using the Apple Pencil (USB-C) daily with my iPad Air M3 for over two weeks, and it has significantly improved my note-taking and drawing workflow. Setup was effortless—just plug it into the iPad’s USB-C port, and it paired instantly. Writing feels natural, with excellent precision and minimal latency, making it easy to sketch, annotate PDFs, and take detailed notes. The design is lightweight and well-balanced, so extended sessions don’t strain my hand. I also appreciate that the pencil charges quickly via USB-C—no adapters needed. On the downside, it doesn’t include some features from the Apple Pencil 2, like double-tap for tool switching, and it only works with USB-C iPads.Overall, this is a reliable and high-quality stylus for anyone with a compatible iPad. It combines simplicity, comfort, and precision in a way that makes everyday tasks easier and creative work more enjoyable.

Design
I recently picked up the Apple Pencil (USB-C), and it has been a great addition to my iPad. Setup was incredibly simple—just plug it in via USB-C, and it pairs right away. I really like that it magnetically attaches to the side of my iPad, so I don’t have to worry about losing it.The writing and drawing experience feels smooth and natural, with almost no lag. Tilt sensitivity works well for shading, and the hover feature (on supported iPads) is super handy for precision work. I mainly use it for taking notes and marking up documents, but I can see how it would be excellent for artists too.The only downside is that it doesn’t come with extra tips, and of course, the price is on the higher side compared to third-party options. But the build quality, seamless integration, and overall reliability make it worth it for me.

Very Happy With This Pencil
This Apple pencil works great. I mainly use it as a regular stylus and the response and accuracy is spot on, which is 90% the reason I bought this pencil. The battery seems to last quite a long time and I like the magnetic attachment to my iPad. I have two minor complaints. One, when I click the 'refresh' arrow in the address bar with the pencil, my iPad recognizes the input as script and expects me to keep writing in the address bar; it doesn't refresh the screen. I remedy that by clicking the refresh button the old fashioned way, with my finger. My second complaint is encountered when I want to close an app and return to the home screen. The iPad does not recognize my upwards vertical swipe with the pencil and does nothing. Again, I remedy the old fashioned way. Overall, great little device. I think I bought mine during Prime Day days and it cost around $50, which was a huge push for me to buy it. I'm very happy w/ this purchase and I have no idea where my old stylus is now.

Apple Pencil
The Apple Pencil USB-C is a sleek and highly functional tool that caters to artists, students, and professionals alike. Its design maintains the minimalist aesthetic Apple is known for, with a matte finish that provides a comfortable grip during extended use.One of the key highlights is the USB-C charging capability, making it compatible with the latest iPad models and more convenient for those already using USB-C devices. This eliminates the need for adapters, streamlining the charging process. In terms of performance, the Pencil offers impressive precision and low latency, allowing for fluid sketching, note-taking, and annotation. The pressure sensitivity and tilt support are accurate, making it a versatile tool for detailed artwork and professional tasks. However, unlike the second-generation Apple Pencil, it lacks features such as double-tap functionality and magnetic charging. This might be a drawback for users accustomed to these conveniences.Overall, the Apple Pencil USB-C is a reliable and efficient stylus, especially for those looking for a cost-effective option without sacrificing performance. Its seamless integration with iPadOS enhances productivity, making it a worthy accessory for creative and everyday tasks.
