Is this soap?
I ordered 3 different flavours to get a overview if they are okay, because I really like ITSU and so I wanted to try these too. But this flavour just smells and taste like soap, maybe I am too sensitive, but I work in a soap manufacture and know that this isn't good at all.

Lovely Comfort Food
Food preferences are very personal, making a product like this hard to review. So here's my take: If you are used to eating cheap, "bad" foods loaded with MSG, you probably won't like these. I love how much MSG intensifies flavour, because yum! But my body doesn't appreciate a bunch of additives and can rebel with some pretty scary allergies, so I went healthier with my food choices years back. Not super strict by any means, but I do pay attention to ingredient lists and try to steer towards the short ones with recognizable ingredients. Your taste buds adjust their expectations as your diet changes. Basically the less "bad" foods you eat, the more tasty the healthier stuff becomes. These soups are way more quality than the super cheap ramen noodles. They taste good to me bc I'm not used to chemically enhanced flavours. I suspect a lot of the negative reviews are from folks who are comparing these to the MSG ones... which isn't really fair, bc using MSG is a major cheat. So think about what you normally consume. If you're looking to spice up your array of super cheap ramen options, you'll probably find these bland. If you're eating healthier and want some comfort food, you'll probably really like at least one of these flavours. I wanted the cheap ramen experience without an allergic attack, lol. The chicken flavour in this pack reminds me of the cheap chicken ramens from my youth... super yum. So I'll be buying the chicken set from now on. The spicy ones can burn your tongue off, so beware. I think the flavour variation is great-- something for everyone. I think it would be rare to like them all bc they are so different. I'm super glad I tried these. The quantity of rice noodles seriously fills a big soup bowl and are so friendly to digest. The quality really comes thru in all the elements. So easy to make. Eat with a fork or chopsticks--a spoon will be useless with the long noodles.

More flavourful than expected!
I was looking for something easy for going away that didn’t contain MSG. I felt it was worth paying more for these, as I didn’t see anything like that in the ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised how tasty this was! My only negative is that this contains maltodextrin, which is a filler that I have a mild reaction to. I thought this product was free of it, but the ingredients list on the Amazon details wasn’t the same as on the pot label. If you’re not bothered my fillers like maltodextrin, then I definitely think this is worth a try!

Severely Mediocre
Being a vegan its really freakin hard to quick ready made pot food, some pot noodles are but it's never the ones you want. These noodles are okay. The right idea is there but unfortunately they're not incredibly tasty, you can add a couple of extra ingredients to make them a little better.I'll probably buy them again because they are still a 'healthy' quick meal and at the end of the da, that's what I bought them for

Potty about these pots
So many are overly flavoured with too much spice but these are mildly flavoured, letting me taste the miso, vegetables and especially the ginger, which is so lovely in it. There's always the option to add a little extra flavour if it's not quite enough which I always find better than being too much but I have never needed to do this.I only put water in to just below the rice noodles and tap them in to it as this seems to provide a good consistency without much liquid left (if you don't like the watery way). The first time I tried one, I saw the water fill level and just filled right up to there but it definitely wasn't to my taste. They have been so helpful in disability and chronic illness and I really hope they come back into stock again. The other flavours are not suitable for me.

Underwhelming
I’d seen these advertised a lot on social media and, as a big noodle fan, decided to give them a go. They’re pretty expensive so had high hopes. Out of the mixed box, only the coconut chicken was any good. There’s a good variety of veggies in the noodles, and the broth was well seasoned and flavourful. I can’t say the same about the rest of them, though. The beef one was a close second but quite fatty and bland. The rest were extremely bland - particularly the veggie ones. In fact the veggie ones were probably the worst noodles I’ve had. It was like eating grassy-flavoured weak water. They were worth a try, but not worth getting again.

Too Much 5 Spice
The vegetables and other ingredients are all good quality, and are alone enough to justify the somewhat expensive cost. Which is a shame then that the flavour of these noodles is completely ruined by the excessive use of Chinese 5 Spice - don't get get me wrong, I like 5 Spice, and I wouldn't have bought these otherwise. It's just that each and every mouthful is entirely permeated by it, and it alone - it completely overpowers the flavour of, well... everything.I only recommend these to people that don't mind eating something badly over-seasoned; the ingredients are higher quality than most and if i weren't for the flavour I would rate these 5/5

Make a good base to add your own ingredients for a quick meal
As others have said, it isn't the most flavoursome pot of noodles BUT it makes a great base for a quick meal. I add in extra rice noodles and depending on what I feel like I'll also add sriracha/chillies, soy sauce/coconut aminos, lemongrass paste/rice vinegar, ginger/garlic/onion powder, peanut butter to make a peanut satay sauce, and sometimes extra veg like spinach or tofu. It all goes in the noodles pot with boiled water and tastes pretty good, and is still a very quick meal with no cooking required for the days you just don't have time.
