Perma Child Safety Indoor/Outdoor Retractable Baby Gate 41" Tall, Extends to 71" Wide, White

This is the second gate we've bought. They changed the design from the original. This new one sucks. Mounting was a nightmare. It BARELY covers the distance it says it does. Giving 3 stars because it technically works but I wouldn't buy another one that's for sure.

By the far the easiest gate to install! Took maybe 10 minutes. Comes with easy templates and was a fraction of the cost of a metal gate. So happy with this choice to allow our puppy more freedom and access to go outside when we have to leave her.

Not safe for my toddlers. If toddlers DONT want the gate up and choose to hang on it (even if instructed not to, as kids are learning their independence), then it may break as mine did and expose sharp shards of plastic bolted to the wall, ready for a more severe injury. Had this for less than six months. The old model was so much better - more durable and easier to use. I still have 3 of those that have lasted years without breaking and are still effective today.

Gate was easy to install and works wonderfully for my 100lb Doberman. Unfortunately my 18 lb Frenchie can easily crawl under the small opening at the bottom. Material is good quality and the white blends in with my trim.

It's quality is inferior to other brands. The retractor arm is not cooperative and it is very hard to latch the bottom. We can't do it while standing and have to squat to make sure it's secure. I also bought a momcozy which works great. I told the installer to stop so we could send this one back, but he persisted. I have two means of egress and ingress to my front porch. This gate luckily covers the less frequenty used access. It's a profound disappointment.
