Don’t miss out on this book it was absolutely necessary to tie everything together from level 1! What’s even better is my child, who has ADHD and felt discouraged playing, could completely relate to the squirrel with a short attention span who was trying to make big moves against bigger players (adults). I feel like this gave him the confidence boost he needed to keep practicing chess. Now we’re on level 2!

Great way for kids to learn chess

My 9 year old has been wanting to understand the logistics of chess. The book’s appearance and quality is decent. It is sized to be portable. The value is in her being intrigued to beat the household in Chess, and her being entertained with something educational.

I bought the puzzle book for my 4 year old son after we went through the Storytime Chess storybook that comes with the game. The puzzles focus on how to put the opposing king in check and how to get out of check by either escaping or obstructing with another piece. It’s perfect for where my kid is at.

Very disappointed, as not one picture of an actual chess set with board to identify topic. For an autistic child who loves chess game it is nothing exciting, which makes it no different than a dollar store book, except for the price
