Almost Lived Up To The First Book
I had high hopes for this book as I enjoyed the first one immensely. However, although most of the reviews here state that they loved it more than L.A Candy, I have to disagree. For some reason I wasn't as engrossed in the story and halfway through I felt I was just plodding along. I enjoyed the last part better though, as it set the scene for the third novel, and the ending was good.I hated the character of Jesse and couldn't understand how a nice, normal girl like Jane put up with him so long. After a month of casual dating, Jane had proclaimed she was in love with him (Book 1) so this set the foundation for her behaviour in this book, which was irritating. Hard to believe that at just 19 her parents wouldn't have gotten involved at some stage... I don't want to spoil it for new readers so will leave it at that.A good book, although not as enjoyable as the first, yet the writing style is slightly better. Perfect for fans of L.C and the show too.

Predictable
This book was pretty predictable and it got annoying when the writer kept referring back to the first book again and again to give us the reason they were making a decision etc. Having said that the story line wasn't too bad and the book is good if you want a light read on holiday etc. I might read the next one...

I don't know why the bad reviews!
The book starts a little slow... The novel touches a number of themes such as alcoholism, being with someone who abuses you, betrayal, and hipocrisy being the main theme of the novel. I loved it, it was well written, which actually came as a surprise, really. I couldn't stop reading it, I finished it in two days, and I thought that the themes that covered the novel were smart. I lot of these things actually happen in everyone's life...Brief SummaryJane goes to vacation with Madison and she spends some days with her, when she returns to L.A. and to her apartment, the drama starts again...*** SPOILERS******Jane decides she makes a wrong move, and that she's guilty, asks for his forgiveness, and returns with him. Madison keeps using Jane, while she feels guilty for using her. She decides it's best to use her, because she wants to be famous instead of making friends. We also see a side of Gaby that we haven't seen before, and Scarlett gets romantic with a guy. **** END OF SPOILERS****

Fun drama
I love the LA Candy series. I ready all 3 books pretty quickly, they are all a very fast read. The characters are relatable and the story is entertaining. This is a very young book so not deep but really fun to read. It was interesting to think some of the things she wrote about were true to filming a reality tv series
