I have been drinking Peet's Major Dickason's dark roast for the past 25+ years. It has always been my favorite coffee and anytime I have just about anything else, I wish it were Major Dickason's. This coffee is surprisingly good! It is less acidic than Major Dickason's, and a bit earthier tasting with hints of chocolate. But still a solid dark roast. I find myself going to it more and more often and it may be my new favorite. The fact that its organic is a nice bonus too. If you like Major Dickason's, you'll probably like this too and it is a nice alternative to keep on hand for variety.

The taste is fabulous & I won’t drink any other coffee anymore… However, when I went back to buy it again this month it’s over $20 more. So at the higher price I can’t justify purchasing again. Or at least not until there’s a sale again …. Super sad. I guess I just need to watch for sales going forward…. & no, I don’t want to be on a subscription since those commitments got a little crazy when sometimes you don’t necessarily need it . It was a good deal while it’s still more expensive even at the sale price than other coffee pods that I buy, it was still worth doing. But I can’t justify pulling the trigger to make another purchase at the current cost. So I shopped around and found it cheaper at Walmart this month. Every penny matters, even for a product that I love!!

The coffee is strong and tastes great but the delivery was wrong. It went to the wrong address. I had to go get it from the other address. If you like strong dark coffee then this is the one.

I never had Peet's Coffee before and only bought this because it was one the cheapest coffees at the time of purchase, but I can now say this is one of the best brands I have tried. The Dark Roast doesn't have the most flavor, but it's still a very good flavor, and seems low in acidity as well. I drank my first cup black for a fair review and it was very pleasant for someone who always uses milk/cream and sugar. If you're wanting a fine budget coffee to save money but still require a good amount of flavor and strength, this is a very suitable option. It's more like a medium-dark or medium-strong, but the low acidity is a much welcomed trade off.

Got these for my parent who LOVE Major Dickason blend Peet's coffee. My only complaint is the box came so badly damaged, it had packing tape all over it just holding it together, but this isn't Peet's problem, more so Amazon's.
