Nintendo Wii Console (White) with Wii Sports and Wii Party

The Wii might be old now, but it still wipes the floor with half the so-called “next-gen” junk floating around today. It does exactly what it says on the tin — fun, simple, and actually gets you off your backside instead of turning you into a sofa statue. The motion controls? Surprisingly spot-on. Swinging a Wii Remote around feels miles better than mashing buttons like a maniac. Games like Wii Sports, Mario Kart, and Just Dance are still unbeatable for family nights, parties, or just killing time when everything else feels boring. It’s tough, reliable, and doesn’t throw a tantrum every time an update releases. No stupid subscriptions, no pointless add-ons, no nonsense. Just plug it in and play. If anything, the only downside is that Nintendo stopped making consoles this simple and this fun. The Wii is a classic for a reason — and honestly, it deserves the praise.

It's amazing fun! It's tiny and compact, the controllers also have a protective rubber coating which is fantastic, feels really sturdy. I've played the Wii Sports game and have to say the tennis is the most fun! I thought it could be a bit gimmicky and something I would get bored of but I'm really enjoying it, it was packaged really well and received on time. I'm 20 and think it's amazing so I'm sure kids will love it, provides plenty of entertainment.

Haven’t been able to use this yet for two reasons; 1) it doesn’t come with batteries for the remote - which I was not aware of 2) it’s not compatible with a modern smart tv - you need to purchase a Wii to HDMI gadget - again I wasn’t aware of this This is an expensive purchase and I’m shocked that there are no batteries. There is a space in the packaging for them but they are not there. There is also no indication what size batteries you need so I’m just hoping it’s AA as that’s what I’ve ordered. My grandson came specially today to be the first to use it but has gone home disappointed as the extra gadget won’t arrive until tomorrow so all in all a disappointing day for both of us. Information should be made clear so an informed decision can be made. Will update when used

Great quality product

This is about my level of gaming and the Wii party disc was fine although arrived scratched despite being advertised as brand new, the Wii sports disc was missing completely even though it states on the box it’s included so can’t really comment on the full product. All in all it’s still as much fun as it was 15 years ago, but would like the missing parts to be fulfilled, apparently the only solution is yet another return

I'm no technical wizard but I found this extremely easy to set up. I love Wii Sports, especially the tennis and golf, and it's really helping me to get fit. I have also written a review about Wii Fitness Plus and Balance Board in which I say more about the fitness and weight loss potential of the Wii. I haven't really got into Wii Party yet but at first glance, if you like games, you'll like this. I was surprised at all the free extras it includes. For example, you can access BBC iPlayer on it and the internet which then play on your TV. It isn't cheap, but I think it's well worth its price for the fitness aspects of it alone.

Bought this as a family present, but didn't get it in time for my daughters birthday party. However, I am so glad we bought one. Haven't played many games on it yet but we enjoy Just Dance and have connected it to the internet via our wireless broadband router and can now watch BBC iPlayer. Its a great little product and we are just learning about it.

Device doesn’t read disc. When disc inserted weird noise you will hear. The problem when I received it I kept and I did not check the device. After a month i decided to play but not working and from the amazon app I cannot return it. Waste of money
