We needed to replace some latches with broken rollers in a black lacquer China cabinet. There were quite a few options for latches available on Amazon and elsewhere. The color is where this set stood out and delivered. I had to send back another set that was described as black and appeared so in the pictures online but wasn't even close in reality. Plus the price was right. We needed to redrill a few holes to install the spring mechanism but all of the original strikers worked fine after some adjustment. The only downside was that the screws provided with the latches should be flat at the bottom of the head rather than at the top. No problem for us since we could use the original screws instead.

It was a bit of a challenge to mount these catches but it’s no reflection on them, I probably should have looking for a difference option for my application. They do seem well made but I would have preferred that they provide round headed screws rather than wood screws because the heads don’t lay flat against the catch.

Every single screw we tried the head snapped off.

These don’t work as well as I had hoped. They don’t attach very easy. They are not easy to install.
