I just posted another gate review since we’ve bought a couple to setup in various parts of our house now that our daughter is walking. I love how far this gate stretches, it’s nice to have a retractable one that we can retract when she’s at daycare or asleep. My only complaint is installation. The other gate we purchased came with guides which made it very simple to install. Unfortunately, this gate did not have any guides. For the side that has the gate, it wasn’t too bad to install, just put the mounts on the gate and line it up where you want it and mark where to drill. For the other side where the anchors go, was more difficult. The other wall was about 8 feet away, so I had to pull the gate across and hold it with the mount to mark it and then again for the other mount. Since there was no guide they ended up being a little uneven. Once everything was installed it all worked out, but the guides would have cut the installation time in half.

This baby/pet gate is everything and more. With little grandkids around we wanted a way that was safe, effective and aesthetically pleasing and this is all 3. It is easy to install (does require a drill and holes to be put into the anchor such as post on deck or staircase (wood, drywall, concrete, plastic many types of material). The mounting brackets and the hooks have a sticky backing for marking and mounting. Adjustment mount on bottom of each pole that can be moved to fit the area. Easily pull to fix to hooks on opposite side and have a locking mechanisim. Functional, adjustable, work great!

We bought this to keep our dogs in a certain area of the house. It didn’t work at all. The bottom isn’t “tight” so the dogs go straight under it making it pointless. To add to the disappointment, the second time we unrolled it the spring popped and it no retracts. There is absolutely no way this thing would be safe to use to keep kids in an area. Now we have holes in the wall from installing the gate. Definitely disappointing.

It seems very nice gate but unfortunately was a pain trying to install it so I gave up, it was takinh way too much time and then the roll got all messed up trying to measure if it was going to fit where I wanted to put it. Couldn’t use it

Great product! It’s very sturdy and efficient. It took less than 10 minutes to install and the instructions are super easy. I have big head pitties and these keep them out of the living room whenever we’re away. It has a lock feature that I love simply because once it’s on lock mode, it doesn’t matter how much yanking the dogs might try to do, it won’t come undone or unlocked. Great purchase!!! I’ve had it for 2 years now and it’s still super durable. Would purchase again!

So glad I bought this! I have a open plan kitchen/living room, this is the perfect size to fit in between and easy to pull across to stop my dogs coming in when cooking dinner and getting under my feet etc. it feels strong and sturdy. Life saver!

It doesn't hold so well. My dog managed to get through it right away and so did my son. Eventually my son crawed under it and it snapped off the wall. Wasn't too good for the price it is.
