Indian Handmade Cotton Kantha Quilt Throw Blanket Bedspread Gudari (Twin Multi)

I like this blanket. It is very thin. Two layers of cotton fabric sewn together by a sort of whip stitch around the edge in opposing directions. The handworked stitches that run every quarter inch the entire length of the quilt are easily pulled and they catch because they are 3/8 of an inch long and the thread is...not quality. The fabric is cool looking, not an exceptionally tight weave which makes the blanket cozy not stiff. You can look at it as a workhorse that can be used and will wear quickly but be loved, or as an accent that you use gently on occasion that will last. I will use an actual sewing machine to sew it at least around the edges which may reinforce the kantha stitches so they stay put longer. It has a pleasant headshop smell that is fading. I washed and dried it upon receipt. Drying is not recommended but I want a workhorse and for the freakishly low price, I will chance drying it. I got EXACTLY what I paid for and I’m fine with it.

Bought these for my grandchildren’s bunk beds. Their room (in my house) is right off the living room & has glass doors. Used to be my office. Needed something fun but attractive for those long stretches when they aren’t here. These quilts are thin & lightweight, perfect for tucking under, & easy to spread out to cover the beds. The colors are bright & the designs are just beautiful. Because they seem a bit fragile, I fold them back to the end of the beds - the kids don’t use them for cover. Love them! Love them! Love them!

I have to sew and secure threads or it won’t hold up in wash. Beautiful though. Love the design and colors but didn’t expect that most threads are not tied.

Perfect size, weight, and colors. Not a thick quilt, but a very colorful, lightweight accent blanket for sofa or bed. Really pretty and well made.

This is a beautiful throw if you're looking for something won't be used often. There is no batting in between. It's literally two pieces of material stitched together. I washed it on delicate and found that much of the stitching was not tied off on the ends so the two pieces of material were separating. I had to have it sewn all around the sides with a sewing machine and then binge watched Netflix while I tied off the ends of every strand. It currently rests at the end of my bed looking pretty but not functional.

Although the colors are not quite as bright as they were in the pictures, I am still very happy with this kanja quilt. It is beautiful to look upon, lightweight and well-made. It looks lovely on my bed and doubles as a lightweight throw fore on the sofa sometimes.

I love it. I bought it to use as a lightweight blanket that would still keep me warm for fall outdoor dining during covid. It fits perfectly in my tote, washes in washer and dryer to stay clean and is so pretty. I bought a different pattern for friends. It also makes a great picnic blanket and great table covering!

I wanted a colorful throw for my sofa that was not heavy. This fit the bill perfectly. The photo does not do it justice. The colors and print just makes me happy and go well with my cat's bed.
