Paper type not communicated correctly to printer
I specified 'Other Matte Photo Paper' via my graphics package (and loaded the same in the printer), but the printer kept insisting I was trying to print plain paper.Chatted with HP Support and to cut a long story short (over 5 hours chat!), the printer was no longer insisting the paper was plain paper, but was always sending a different type to the one I entered in the app (regardless of what I selected). Only by printing via HP Smart could I get the app and the printer to agree - but a) I want to be able to print from my graphics packages and b) when printing from HP Smart, the size of the print was not actual size (critical for my use).HP Support tried insisting the printer was working because the error did not occur via HP Smart. I rejected this saying that 3 other HP printers I have had allowed me to print from my graphics package. I didn't mention the size issue as I wasn't aware of it at the time.Returned to Amazon.

HP Office Jet Pro 9122e won't take A5 Paper
It seems that this printer is unable to take A5 size paper/labels etc which I frequently need to use . I assumed that as my old HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus had a paper tray that could be adjusted to accept different paper sizes, so would the HP Office Jet Pro 9122e.I would appreciate feedback on this? This printer also is more noisy and seems laboured. The print quality is very good though

Wifi problems - even with a cable connection
This is a very disappointing product. I have been using HP Officejet Pros for many years. The first was a wonderful workhorse. But eventually it died. The next, the current design, gave me continuous trouble because of its need for a wifi link. I spent many hours on the phone with support desks. I purchased a wifi extender and was told that they are incompatible with the printer. Eventually it died - after 25 months (just outside guarantee). My current model is very frustrating. It spends ages clunking and adjusting before it can do any work. There have been continued problems with wifi, even though it is connected to the computer by cable. Eventually I purchased a new wifi extender to place nearby. Still occasional wifi problems - and the clunking and waiting before it prints. In addition, though it is supposedly an identical model, it is incompatible with my existing ink stock - wasting £140 ink. It is a pity this printer has been spoilt by the requirement for wifi connection. I have been advised, and I agree, that it is the ideal model for my needs as a solopreneur. It needs a redesign - back to the original. Remove the requirement for wifi - or improve the wifi reception.

So far so good
Simple office use with a small footprint and bonus that it will print envelopes and has a sheet feeder.Quite easy to set up and good functionality for the price

Great multifunction printer
This is the usual HP quality and reliable printer with a good scanner.I use it wired on the local network so print to it from Apple Mac, MacBook, iPhone, Ipad etc.Only issue I've had which will no doubt be fixed in a firmware update is that sometimes it holds on to the page as it's expecting to print on the second side.
