This is a great little item to have on hand if you're equipped to work with it. My experience was good, it slots in exactly like advertised and I was able to get an burnt out device up and running again. I use it for a different device than advertised, but so long as you know your specs it should slot in easily with compatible boards.

This USB type C port is intended as a replacement for a JBL flipper 5 speaker. The package contained a small clear plastic case, a blue pick, a blue prying tool, a screwdriver, and two ports. The ports match the pictures and the description exactly. I'm trying to repurpose the spare port for a small electronic project, but I'm having a difficult time with the soldering and figuring out the pinout. The kit itself is excellent, and the port seats a standard usb type c cable perfectly. I really like the red plastic center for the port and the standard black encasement looks sharp.
