Excellent Motherboard with native Intel 14th generation processor support
The is a good quality motherboard from Asus with native 14th generation LGA 1700 Intel processor support and DDR5 memory. There are plenty of USB ports which is useful. Component installation is straightforward in common with many other ATX boards and the PCIe remote release button on the board is a handy addition making graphics card installation simple. There are plenty of M2 memory slots available, each with an onboard heatsink. I like the clever M2 memory module rotating locking catch which is much easier to use than some other boards requiring a tiny screw to hold the modules in place. Overall, this is great board.

Love the PCI-E Q-Release
So upgraded from the ASUS Z590-F to the Z790-H and my favourite new feature is the PCI-E quick release because it turns what was always an awkward task into an absolute breeze! As usual from Asus, fantastic build quality, all the connectivity and latest features i need, highly recommended.

A really impressive motherboard
After some research, I opted for the Asus ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI Motherboard to upgrade my home PC. Overall most of the reviews were very positive, although some drew attention to the poor customer support and bad build quality as shown in some Youtube videos. However, I can say that my purchase was flawless, and the installation was fairly straightforward once I had settled on the other components. I will say that I'm not a novice and neither an expert but know my around PC's.Anyway, the MB comes well-packaged with many additional accessories and features;AI Overclocking13th Gen Intel supportWIFI 6EDDR5 7800+ support4 X M.2 Slots2.5Gb Lanand much much more.Yes, it's an expensive MB but you really get a lot for your money.Go ahead treat yourself, you deserve it.

Beware - Used broken boards
When I received the MOBO, I noticed some thermal paste near the socket and assumed this was due to manufacturing testing. After a lengthy install (due to custom WC loop) I could not get the the board to post and I just had DRAM error, so I decided to return. When boxing it back up I noticed a bent pin in the socket as well. This is very poor to resell broken/returned boards when clearly stating its a new board.

Good board let down by Asus support.
It's a great well made board, but I had issues with it from the get go which still remain.Asus have really dropped the ball on this one. Not with build quality and features but with support, and it's not just this board, that has problems, I've discovered since purchasing it. It's the Armoury Crate software that's mainly the issue. Fan Expert which used to be hosted in the AI Suite app is now nestled in Armoury Crate, and it doesn't run properly if at all. After searching for a fix online I quickly found this is a wide spread problem not just with this but many boards and there is even a thread on Asus ROG support site with over 2,000 entries for a problem that persists even with the latest version of Armoury Crate. There is no fix, but there are some workarounds that give semi-acceptable results depending on the extent of the problem in your circumstances. I was unable to get it working at all in Armoury Crate so had to remove Armoury Crate completely and use an earlier version of AI Suite (V3) with Fan Expert 2. The current Fan expert Version is 4. but this means I don't have the control utilities such as Aura lighting at my disposal, and of course my Fan Expert isn't exactly optimal, though it does work... for the most part.I had other issues with the board initially, intermittent USB functioning, Bluetooth not starting, even drivers were installed correctly. Even reinstalling windows didn't fix the problem, though USB's not functioning at startup is clearly a hardware issue, but I just wanted to be comprehensive in my quest for a solution. Anyway, after deciding to returning the board, I though I'd try replacing the battery, and this has so far fixed the problem. The board has been a pretty solid performer outside these issues however, so I don't want to bash Asus unnecessarily, but there are clear issues with the overall package offered here.Anyway these will be big problems for some, though for me, I've never liked Armoury Crate and don't use Aura lighting, overclocking, undervolting or any of the other faciilties it offers, and now since its trying to flog you games and utilities though its online portal it's even less attractive to me. Still, that fact that I've had to uninstall it completely doesn't speak well for the software support on this board, and others may not be able to so casually tolerate this shortcoming... so be warned, particularly since this isn't a board specific problem.Anyway, hope this helps. 9/10 for the actual hardware 3/10 for the associated software supporting it.UPDATE:Logged off the PC yesterday came home switched on - Fans spin, lights but no beeps or video output. Red light on DRAM motherboard LED. I just sighed and left it since I knew this would take some troubleshooting, which I've been doing this morning. Cut a long story short DIMM Mondule_B1 has failed and taken one of the two 32GB Kingston FURY Beasts with it. So, I can boot with the good module in any of the DIMM slots except _B1.This is a bit surprising since the board had been performing perfectly since I'd done the Fan expert workarounds and changed the battery. Statistically, hardware failures to tend to occur most at the beginning of life cycle and considering there are only 4 days till the 30day return expires I'll consider myself lucky. As with all my component purchases, I did read the reviews before taking the plunge and there are a fair few reports of Memory DIMM slot failures so this isn't entirely unprecedented, and given the problems I had with the hardware initially, not even unexpected, if a little disheartening since the board was working so well. I've probably bought just south of 40 Asus boards since I've been system building, and they are my preferred brand, but this is my first Asus Motherboard return. More than a handful of bad DIMM slot failures in your reviews isn't good, and in my case a working slot developed a fault and took my RAM with it is even worse. Not good Asus! Not good at all.I could only get a refund rather than replacement so will be getting the same board again, the specs are great, and since its the only board I could find with 16 PCIE lanes in both the first and second x16 slot (2nd run off the chipset) its the only one in class I could find. By all performance and stability accounts till now, the board has been exceptional.Kudos to Amazon who accelerated this return process for me as this primary PC. New board and memory received very quickly and working without issue. This MB had none of the temperamental issues of the first, and highlights the fact that if a board has even slight problems, you should probably just return it straight away as it's in indication that underlying issues my exist. Big thanks to Amazon on this one since the fast turnaround really helped.
