Good coverage great value for money

It does what it supposed to do and it does it well.

Although I’ve used Vallejo acrylics many times now, this was my first time using their Premium candy colour.I used it through an Iwata airbrush with a 0.7 needle, so I was able to use it without thinning directly from the bottle and it was sprayed over a basecoat of silver.After one coat of candy red, the colour was quite pink but this darkened after each coat and I gave it three coats to quite a nice deep red. Vallejo recommend finishing with a 2K clearcoat, but as I don’t have the necessary air fed mask, I used a 1K clearcoat instead and the results were good.I’m quite happy with the results, the price compares very well with other makes of candy paints and I would definitely buy it again.Every product I review is one I have purchased myself.I rely on unbiased reviews when making shopping choices so that’s exactly what you’ll get from me. This is very very thin paint. Next too useless for an airbrush as it will not cover anything, takes lots of coats to get any where near a finish. It runs no matter what you do. It’s almost like its 60% water. Find something better then this

Best paint by far

What a great colour. Not quite a metallic candy paint if your spraying onto a grey primer. More of a really nice rouge, think pink lady apple 🤷‍♂️As always the vallejo model air paint is on top form. I use it straight out the bottle with no thinning just a good shake. Warm it up in you pocket first too

Purchased to paint a 2 foot tall statue for a friend in candy Apple red.After using a black primer and then a shimmering silver acrylic I applied the Vallejo premium in three thin coats and finished with gloss varnish.The candy Apple effect is stunning with this paint sure to it's great transparency, the silver flecks really pop through, and give that classic candy red look.
