Great pencils!
My talented daughters love these pencils and they enjoy using them for all of their artistic endeavors. They are smooth and sharp and really are pretty strong and do not break easily at all. They are very functional and reflect great value for money. Well worth buying and using so that you can concentrate on your drawing and Art rather than having to worry about your pencil quality.

Picking up the torch from the Eagle #2
Seems like there shouldn't need to be a lot to say about a pencil, except for the fact that that the old number 2 pencils just aren't what they used to be. I decided that I would stop picking up random pencils and try to buy a package of good wooden pencils for my at home shop. I had read a lot of reviews of pencils panning them for this and that, realizing that the pencil era is somewhat over, or the overall quality is diminished.... These seemed to be well liked and a good all around pencil. I agree. The leads are well centered and they write and draw like the old #2. I am a satisfied customer.

A substantial pencil
Who knew their was a difference among wood-cased graphite pencils? I didn't. I bought the cheapest ones I could find at the grocery store for online kindergarten. Yikes! Erasers fell off with the first use; wood split and chipped with every attempt to sharpen; graphite broke regularly and fell out of the pencil (not at the tip from excessive pressure, but just up the shaft of the graphite. These Arteza pencils stand up to normal use, just like the ones I used in elementary school. IMO, they are worth the extra cost.

Good pencils. led definitely feels more like a charcoal ...
Good pencils. led definitely feels more like a charcoal artist pencil. Also the sharpening is really bad, but they work fine. Just don’t compar well to the T named brand

Most of the reviews on this product are Amazon Vine reviews, so I thought I should leave a review from the perspective of an actual buyer. For the price, these pencils work great. They are comparable to the Dixon Ticonderoga. The erasers are a light purple and work way better than the erasers on cheap dollar store pencils or department store pencils. It's not as firm as I'm comfortable with (I press really hard on the paper, both with the lead and the eraser) but it's not that bad. It erases fairly clean with minimal writing left behind. The pencils come pre-sharpened, so I can use them right out of the box. I sharpened a pencil with my own electric sharpener, and it came out pretty even and sharp. I haven't had any issues with the lead yet, and the writing is pretty smooth. The barrel of the pencil is slightly wider than a standard pencil, but it fits in my sharpener perfectly fine and it doesn't bother me while writing. The barrel is a brownish-yellow color, like tan. Overall, I give this product 4.5 stars. A Dixon Ticonderoga would be 5 stars, to give you a perspective of how the two brands compare. I really do like these pencils, and I will be using them for a while! Definitely recommend.

Better then ticondagroga pencils!
I thank the pencils are better then ticondaroga they are abit softer an more smooth! Great price if u look at how much ticondagroga pencils are for 12 pencils. I didn't like the packaging though because its pencils an it was just a bag. Your calling for them to brake the inside because there so soft.

A great pencil.
The graphite pre-sharpened pencil creates a dark, smooth finish and is great for school work. Because of its precise shape, the pencils are easy to hold. The purple erasers erase the graphite completely, without a trace. My granddaughter, who goes though a lot of pencils,, is going into the third grade and she loves these pencils. I recommend these lead-free, latex-free, solid wood pencils. I'll buy them again.

A life saver with this home schooling, I keep loosing crayons, or they get broken, these are great pencils to keep using it until it's done

I really like these pencils, easy to hold, sharpen nicely and the lead feels very strong. Unfortunately, I don't like the erasers. The pencils make beautiful marks, but the eraser doesn't erase them well.

Since I got them, I feel like I want to draw more often. I do am sketching more and more and those pencils are though so the lead doesn't break all the time.

So far no breaking off when they are put into a motorised sharpener...
