This jar of Himalayan white salt is ideal for those who really enjoy grinding their own salt crystals. It's pure and healthy for the body. The crystals are actually rather large compared to many others. Not something that you would want to use as is, unless you are putting into water or something like that that you are cooking where it has time and the ability to fully breakdown and distribute itself around in your liquid. They grind easily enough and you are able to control the size you want with the right grinder. Some might prefer to grind this with a mortar and pestle. Whichever way works best for you, you will have a fine quality, clean white salt to use as you please.

The whole container had lots of small brownish particles mixed in with the rock salt - not sure what they were but I had to go through the whole container trying to fish them all out.

The corse salt is larger than I expected, they are huge. I put these in the salt grinder. The salt has good flavor and is a product of Pakistan, from the Salt Range mountains where Himalayan salt comes from. The white is harvest in the outer areas and has slightly less iron content than pink. There really isn’t any difference in taste that I could notice. Best use by date is August 25, 2026.

The crystals are huge so you absolutely need a grinder. Very little smell to it and the crystals look very pure. The jar I received has several black specks and some bigger pieces about the size of the salt crystals. No idea what they are. Had to pull out all the dark things and not sure if I should continue using the salt. Since I don't know what the dark objects are, not sure if they are harmful or not. Maybe just some residue from harvesting the salt? Hopefully nothing.

This salt is tasty, it has a very coarse grind, and the grains are all about the same size. It doesn't taste salty at first but becomes saltier as it dissolves. This salt makes very good chili salt seasoning or to use for baking. The only thing I don't like is that the container is very small, I thought 1lb of salt would come with lots of salt but this salt is quite heavy so I was very surprised at how small the container was.

I got this salt for our table grinder. I like the little container that it comes in and that it didn't cause the salt to pick up any odd tastes from it like some salts do, it just tastes like pure salt. It has a best before date almost three years out.
