How to use systematic training to improve.
This well researched compendium of training content is presented in the form of a schedule. Its intention is to create a value that is only achieved through daily practice. It is called a Challenge because it asks the readers to make an effort to immerse themselves in different aspects of the game over a 6 week period. The value of this is more than the acquisition of knowledge. I highly recommend using this material to anyone wishing to improve their skills and to experience learning in the way serious players are coached. Young Sun Yoon is a marvelous teacher and a former world champion.

A great 6 week training program
There are a lot of books on go/baduk, but very few offer a guided lesson plan that incorporates theory, problems, and systematic study of pro games. This book is highly recommended to players at all levels who are looking for a training program more than just another book about a singular aspect of play. Highly recommended, I will be repeating this books program for years to come!

Terrible on the kindle
The font is super small on the kindle and cannot be scaled. The pages display as if they were scanned in and fit down the kindle display. So, what would normally be a 6"x9" paperback is now 3.5"x5" on my kindle screen, way too small, and completely unreadable.

A must have for any go strength.
Well written and illustrated very well. Material useful for weaker and stronger players.

The Best Way to Study Go
This book provides six weeks worth of outstanding daily study material for improving at Go.It's well laid-out, with contents that are deliberately designed and ordered to cover all fundamental skills, then build upon previous learning to solidify your understanding. To address some of the issues brought up in other reviews:Redundancy - the book is a six week study course. Improving to 1dan and beyond requires discipline and commitment. The book provides a varied set of daily life and death challenges and games to memorize. And these aren't just a random collection of problems thrown haphazardly together. These are laid out in a logical manner, progressing from easier to more difficult while alternating categories (endgame, life & death, tesuji, etc)."Filler" pages - half of the purpose of this book is to teach you specific go skills necessary to level up to 1dan and beyond. The other half is to teach you how to learn go, so you can build your own study plan beyond the end of this book. That's what these other pages aim to do. They provide a reminder and a space for you to record how you're studying and how well that's going. Besides this, the stated goal of the book is to help you improve your skills in six weeks. It's not like it's trying to sell you "100 pages of go problems". The page count really isn't material to the goal here, so adding extra pages to help you track your progress only serves to help build that habit.QR codes - a few of these QR codes (1 per week) introduce useful resources. The rest are links to the teachers' video on the topic for the given day, and provide detailed explanations of the games or problem sets, including possible continuations and common mistakes. These would be difficult to fit in the book, adding dozens of pages of diagrams and explanations per day, so I think the electronic format is a much nicer approach.Who is this book for?I think that most go players can learn something from this book. Where it truly shines, however, is single digit kyu players looking to not level up their game, not only by learning go, but by learning HOW to learn go. I would strongly recommend this book to all such players.

A book of redundant filler material
This book is a waste of money. Poor explanations where they occur at all. In an 84 page book, fully half of the pages are just filler, how far have you reached your goal today, as shown above. Do we really need 42 pages of the same questions over and over again? It’s also full of QR links to internet sites, essentially just a guide book to other sources. Save your money.
