A must have for Minecrafting youngsters
My grandson has read and worked through this book several times and is now asking for the others in the set. That's Christmas sorted! Thoroughly recommended for children with enquiring minds.

has some cool build ideas but has some outdated comands
Some of the commands that it suggests you use are outdated and no longer work but overall it is a fun book and is great because it provides education and allows the kids to play while doing it

Nice book to make minecraft educational
Minecraft is the kind of game that kids spend a lot of time on, and this book convert that to an educational experience. This book covers several different computing and coding topics, including security, smart homes, etc. There is a basic story that stiches the stories loosely together, and sprinkles various exercises throughout the book. It was reasonably fun as long as you arent expecting a minecraft project book. The production quality of the layout, colours, illustrations are very nice.Listed Price when I reviewed it: £6.99(Disclaimer: I received this for free as part of the Amazon Vine program, but the views here are based on my own experiences and not edited or influenced by anyone)

Fun Minecraft computing learning book
The "Minecraft STEM Computing and Coding: Official Workbook" is currently priced at £6.99 and has proven to be a fantastic resource for blending education with fun. As a parent, I appreciate how this book leverages Minecraft's popularity to teach fundamental computing and coding skills. It's clear that a lot of thought and effort have gone into making this workbook both engaging and educational. The quality of the book is excellent, with vibrant full-colour pages and a sturdy binding. The book guides children through various biomes, challenging them to complete tasks and earn rewards, which keeps them motivated and engaged. One of the standout aspects of this workbook is how it integrates in-game builds with the learning material. Each chapter encourages the reader to apply the coding concepts they’ve learned by building something in Minecraft. This hands-on approach is fantastic for reinforcing the material and making abstract concepts more concrete. However, the book is quite wordy. While the explanations are thorough, I feel that more diagrams or visual aids could help convey some of the more complex concepts. This would make it easier for younger children or those who are more visual learners to grasp the material without feeling overwhelmed by the text.Overall, the "Minecraft STEM Computing and Coding" workbook is a great investment for any young Minecraft enthusiast interested in coding. It’s well-constructed, educational, and keeps children engaged through interactive learning.Pros:- 🟢 High-quality, full-colour pages- 🟢 Engaging and interactive, with in-game builds- 🟢 Keeps children motivated with rewards and challengesCons:- 🔴 Quite wordy, which might be challenging for younger or visual learnersIn summary, this workbook is an excellent tool for combining fun with learning. It's a great way to introduce children to the basics of coding through the familiar and beloved world of Minecraft. Highly recommended for young fans of the game who are ready to embark on a computing adventure!
